5 minutes into the game I knew this was not going to be good. Honestly had high hopes because of all of the positive reviews but it's such a bland game! Almost like a cleaned up N64 game. Just not up to par with the last few sonic games at all.

The franchise known as Sonic the Hegehog has brought enjoyment and whimsy to many fans of the series across the years. Yet recently, to most people the franchise has been in what many refer to as a drought. Most games before have been rediculed for their plethora of faults. This lead to the series being disregarded and left in the mud with only hardcore fans sticking with the blue blur in his time of need. As time went on many lost hope and forgot about the glory of this character, but not all hope was lost. Sonic team had learned from their mistakes and were ready to make a comeback. After they stole Zelda’s homework and fixed Sonic’s controls they were ready to release one of the best Sonic games in the series, Sonic Frontiers. Not many people immediately loved the game at first, but as time when on it grew on many and became their favorite in the series. They loved the music, the story, and the fact that tails wasn’t as useful as an umbrella on a sunny day. The game felt like a true heartfelt apology for the disgraceful things they had done before. This leads me to say that this game is my favorite, but also that it has lived up to the standards of the original games. 10/10

So far from what I have played, its not your traditional 3D sonic game and it doesnt quite feel like a successor to the Adventure series, however its not bad, and a step in the right direction. There's a main open world area that is treated like a hub to all the sublevel areas that are separated. The graphics are okay but recommend you switch it to 60 FPS mode for more fluidity.

First open world sonic games I enjoyed since sonic adventures. I non-stopped played this game till the very end and platinum trophies it. If further Sonic’s games are Thai open worked I’ll be a rant through and through. Graphics and story and a plus.

Finally the sonic team has made a game worthy of being a successor to the fastest blue blur out there, ever since the age of Sonic Adventure. If you like a vast open world to explore at rhe soeed of sound, with an engaging battle system actually requiring skill, and miss the early days of sonic, this one is for you.

Sonic has run into a lot of trouble with recent 3D entries. I always thought an open world would work well as a playground with his speed, and it does here (it’s more “open zone” meaning you have large areas that play sort of like a long, non timed 3D stage).
There is a little bit of jank to the controls (trickiest part is no momentum) but it still controls better than he has in ages. The story is also simple and engagaing - with a surprising amount of Evangelion references to boot.
It gets an 8/10 for me. It’s not perfect, with some minor control issues and the pop in is annoying. But it is a blast to play, and I’ll be returning just to run around the zones some time.

Sonic Frontiers is a really fun game. The Maps are big and you can roam just about anywhere. I was entertained and challenged throughout the whole game. I really enjoyed this game
