Honestly the best sonic game in a long time and being the first open world they did it right! The pacing was pretty great, you can create different melee combos as you unlock more skills and find differents ways ro finish world and zone bosses! Well worth it and wity preorder you also got the steel box which is just awesome! Great job sonic team!

Sonic Frontiers tries to adapt the modern Sonic formula into a broader open world setting (kind of). Sometimes it works, and other times it's mundane. You'll end up doing a lot of similar tasks while exploring the open environments. Sometimes they're 2.5D levels scattered around the map and other times it's a challenge that makes a basic puzzle from the Zelda series look like one of the traps in the Saw movies. There's some more traditional Sonic levels you can play through, but most of them are just fragments from those found in previous games. It's also lacking some of the appeal from past Sonic games, like the themed levels (like casino, snow, industrial, etc), and the energetic soundtrack is largely gone. Instead you can find songs from older games scattered throughout the open areas, but it doesn't hit the same.

Sonic Frontiers is an excellent title plagued with subpar marketing. The game itself is a joy to play, showing that Team Sonic can still dish meaningful and impact experimental twist their formula. Definitely a return to form for modern Sonic and an appreciated effort after the disappointment that was Sonic Forces.

Finally the sonic team has made a game worthy of being a successor to the fastest blue blur out there, ever since the age of Sonic Adventure. If you like a vast open world to explore at rhe soeed of sound, with an engaging battle system actually requiring skill, and miss the early days of sonic, this one is for you.

First open world sonic games I enjoyed since sonic adventures. I non-stopped played this game till the very end and platinum trophies it. If further Sonic’s games are Thai open worked I’ll be a rant through and through. Graphics and story and a plus.

Sonic Frontiers doesn't do anything graphically that's outdoing the high-est games on Playstation 5, but it does offer a 60FPS mode that looks fantastic.
It's a pretty fun Sonic game. Probably has more content than any 3D Sonic game we've ever had to date since Sonic Adventure. Also, the box is shiny so there's that.
