This game has excellent graphics and is an excellent update to the original! Easy to play, and fun! Sonic now has two friends with him and are fun too. You'll notice the little fox hasn't been around since the 80's, but he has better game playing features then back then. I appreciate the much updated version and also happy that this Sega classic is available on the Nintendo Switch.

He’s back and better than ever! Sonic Mania is a complete blast from the past and lays the nostalgia on thick. Once the nostalgia fades however the fun does not. This game is both challenging and a lesson in if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Sonic Mania brings the classic gameplay mechanics from yesteryear and punches up the color, speed, and soundtrack making it both a classic and modern take on the blue hedgehog.

By far the best sonic game since the Genesis originals! Very high replay value with multiple characters, re-designed & new “classic” levels, and of course the portability of the Switch! Welcome back Sonic!

As many before me have stated, best sonic in ages! None of that 3D adventure stuff they kept trying and failing at. Just back to the basics and dang did they get it right. Lots of classic levels include throwbacks to the glory days. I’ve barely started playing it but no zero complaints. Looks beautiful, sounds beautiful and makes me feel like I’m back in the mid 90’s playing sonic all over again lol.

This remake brings Sonic up to speed with the new game console with enriched color and clarity. My daughter is very competitive and enjoys meeting the best expectations. She was also looking for a game that she could play with her friend. As a parent, I appreciate that she is not playing a game where she would be participating in personal killing or abusive activities and yet keeps her attention.

I already owned and beat Sonic Mania previously as a DL only title. It's a fantastic throwback to what made Sonic great and it's just a fun game to play on the go. With the announcement of Plus, I was going to pass but after looking at the added content and bonus items, I plunged and got the physical copy. I never thought it would be fun to replay the stages again but I'm wrong. Get this.

This game is greatly priced and has gameplay that takes me back to my childhood!

Sonic Mania is excellent. I really love that Sega finally gave its fans something that is Excellent, so many of Sega's recent games have been poor and use barely enough. The 2d sonic mania brings the classic play back and truly is better than any of the 3d outings. I really hope they follow up with a SOnic Mania 2, or allow the team to make a completely new Sonic 2D game.

Get this game if you're a fan of sonic. Great game. New levels. Classic.

This game was released sometime late last year as a digital only title. There was a physical collectors edition of some sort but still contained a voucher for a digital copy of the game. Time passes and it was announced that a physical release would happen along with extra content. As a game, it’s classic sonic fun. Worth checking out as the price is affordable too.

This game is great! I had never played a Sonic game before, but this game has shown me how much I have been missing out on. The speed is exhilarating and the levels and music are really cool. There are many modes and secrets to keep you entertained for a while too! The presentation of this physical edition is also wonderful, with a neat little artbook included.

Bought it for the portability of being able to play this on the Switch system. The game stays true to the series. Somewhat predictable at times but overall good Sonic fun!

I've been waiting for this physical release for a year! As a Genesis kid, nothing makes me happier than having this game on my shelf with the Genesis reversible cover! As for Gameplay I recommend trying Sonic 1, 2, or Sonic CD on mobile if you want an idea of old school Sonic gameplay. If it suits you then by all means give this game your time!

Sonic Mania brings back the classic Sonic fans have been waiting more than a decade for and the Plus version adds even more fun features. The 2 new characters added by Mania Plus are great additions that add more different ways to play. All this finally comes in a physical copy making this the package for anyone who loved Sonic in the 90's.

Sonic Mania is well worth it’s price tag. It’s fun, fast paced, well designed, easy to pick up and go from any point, and infinitely replayable. If you like Sonic or have never played if and are looking for a great new game to play on the side of the big titles or while on the go, this one should be at the top of your list.

They did a great job making this game. I believe it was created from the guy who did the Sonic 2 port for mobile. If you like the original Genesis games, you will love this game.

This game is a labor of love. It's the best 2D Sonic since Sonic 3, and has so many elements to take you back to the old classics. The icing on the cake is that the cover is reversible so you can make it look as if it was a Genesis gamebox. Only a Sega game can deliver this type of experience.

I absolutely love this game. It manages to bring back the old nostalgia of OG Sonic games while adding enough new mechanics to keep it fresh. The art book is super cute, and the Encore Mode adds a fresh way to play the original game. I might not grab it if you have the base game unless (like me) you're a big ol' Sonic nerd.
