I am a long-time Sonic fan who very much loves the franchise, so I HAD to get the pre-order for this physical edition when I heard it would be getting a small artbook included; however, the book in question could barely pass as a pamphlet. They are scribbles and doodles along with CGI wallpaper art from prior game release Sonic Gems Collection that were somehow printed in lower resolution and look slightly blurred.
The other issue with this game is that the DLC to play as Amy Rose and Knuckles in certain games is a download code inside the box, not on the actual CD of the game, so the physical purchase is pointless to get unless you want a CD of Sonic Origins.
Moreover, the 12 additional Game Gear titles are POORLY emulated within the game's code as they are zoomed in, make gameplay more difficult, they LAG, and are not Master System ports, which are their superior counterpart. Enjoy these bit-crushed afterthoughts thrown into the game.
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is worth it, but if you already downloaded this game earlier this year, skip the physical edition and just download the expansion for $9 and save the trip.
P.S Ice Cap Zone music for Sonic 3 is still the prototype song and not the original from the Genesis release.

LOVE IT...THE PERFECT GIFT FOR MY 9 YEAR OLD GRANDSON.
He can not stop playing the game...We literally have to pry his hands off the controller once he falls asleep..

A nice way to play the classic Sonic games in a nice compilation on modern consoles, games are in wide screen and runs great. You get Sega Game gear games right from the get go so if you want to play those you have that as well, Just be warned that the Game gear games do have audio issue being too loud since the original Game gear was originally a mono sound handheld so those Game Gear games get really really loud. But other than that it a fun way to play the classic games in new ways.

It's great. Brought back the classics play. Even has the Sonic CD material. Being older now it requires fast reflexes. More of a challenge than today's games. Lot's of action as remembered and fun.

While it sucks that they had to change 3's ost (I understand why), this package is a great way to experience these classic Sonic games and I recommend them, especially for the price I got them for ($20).
