Being a Sonic fan from the Sega days, I was excited to play this game on the new gen console. and it did not disappoint! The action and gameplay definitely gave me the feeling of nostalgia from that era! And with the ability to play as other characters, I was definitely excited! Now, if I could only get my son and his friends to stop hogging the game, I could relive my old experiences again!!

Sonic Origins Plus on PS5 is an absolute treat! This collection brings together some of the best classic Sonic games and gives them a fresh, modern feel. The widescreen presentation looks crisp on a PS5, and the games run smoothly without losing the charm of the originals.
I especially love the new additions — being able to play as Amy in the classic titles is a fun twist, and having Knuckles in Sonic CD was a nice surprise. The included Game Gear titles are a cool bonus for nostalgia, and the museum content is great for anyone who loves Sonic history.
The whole package feels polished, colorful, and full of energy, just like Sonic should be. Whether you grew up with the originals or you’re discovering them for the first time, this is easily the best way to experience the classic Sonic era on modern hardware.
Highly recommend for collectors, families, or anyone who wants fast, fun platforming with a ton of replay value!

It's a good collection of games (although they should've added Sonic 3D Blast Genesis, both Saturn & PC version, Sonic Spinball Genesis, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine Genesis, Sonic the Fighters) plus all Game Gear games. Some of the physics in Sonic 3 & Knuckles feels different compared to the original but it's still playable. Sonic 1, Sonic CD, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles have an Anniversary Mode which is a Widescreen version, infinite lives, you can retry the Special Stages as long as you have enough coins. There's also a ranking system which lets you play each level from each game to get a better time & you can compete against others to get the highest rank. Plus, Amy Rose is playable for all 4 mainline Sonic games for the first tims. Her moveset isn't that bad, once you know what you're doing, she's cool to speedrun some levels. My one issue with the game is that the Physical/Retail version aka the Disc version comes with a DLC code for the game. Meaning, if you get this game used & the Disc says "Sonic Origins Plus" you're actually getting Sonic Origins, meaning you have to buy the DLC digitally to get Amy Rose & the Game Gear games. The DLC should be included in the Disc version automatically so I'm disappointed with Sega for doing that. Ofher than that, I like this collection. Almost as good as Sonic Mega Collection Plus.

It's been a blast playing through the classic Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear and SEGA CD games for Sonic the Hedgehog. I usually play emulators for retro gaming but this collection is packed with every Sonic the Hedgehog game ever created and if you love the Blue blur this'll keep you entertained. I only wish they'd have put Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 from the Sega Dreamcast on it but I am sure because of the high demand for those 2 particular games Sega will eventually cave in and give them to us sometime in the future. In the words of Sonic from the animated series in the 90s: "I'm waiting!"

While the game definitely has its issues like the removal of lives, I would also say it is THE game to get someone into the Sonic games for the first time.

This is a great collection of classic Sonic games, would be 5 stars, but not all the games are on the disc. Half the games are on the disc and you have to download the others. There is no reason for this.

While I will never get over the replaced music tracks in Sonic 3 & Knuckles and there are still a number of bugs present, these are still Sonic 1-3 at the end of the day. Would recommend getting these at a sale price.

Good game so far. Haven't had a ton of time to play it but it is fun playing some of the old games. Since I've been playing newer games now the controls are a bit different than I remember but overall I'm very happy to be able to play these older games on my PS5. Was very happy to find it on sale for $19.99.

The emulation and options related to it could be more extensive, but the games and the extra animated cutscenes, menus, and bonis features really round out to a lovely package! The case, reversible sleeve, and artbook are a great bonus!

Such a fun collection of games bundled into one, playing each character was fun and the extra game gear games makes it a fun experience I would definitely recommend giving it a try
