I can't believe I was actually still buying CDs and using an old school stereo system. I bought this Sonos Amp because I heard good things and was already subscribed to Spotify Premium. I figured why keep buying CDs when I could stream pretty any music I want without having CDs delivered to my door. The sound quality is actually very good. I connected the amp to my brand new Klipsch R-820F floor standing speakers and matching Klipsch subwoofer and couldn't be happier. Sonos has a true winner here. Set up was as easy as it could possibly be. I even subscribed to Sonos Radio HD and I and others in my household enjoy it as well. It's great for parties. I hope to add on more Sonos products in other rooms as soon as I can. Well done. Thanks Best Buy for having it in stock and shipped to me quickly.

Wow! Great product - Can drive some pretty power hungry speakers with relative ease and not getting too hot even at high volume levels. This was not the case with previous generation Sonos Amp. Easy to use with well made banana jack inputs - only wish the built in DAC were a little better (although I'm not sure it would be noticeable to my ears).

I purchased this amplifier so that I could stream music through our existing speakers that were previously used with an older Sony receiver. I had tried a less expensive device to stream music through those speakers, but the sound quality was terrible, so I upgraded to the Sonos amplifier. It took a little time to set up and program on my phone, but once we got it set up and synced with my phone and Echo Dot, things worked seamlessly. The sound quality is excellent. It is a bit pricy, but I am very pleased with the sound quality and functionality of this amplifier.

I installed the Sonos Amp outdoors to power my speakers, and the sound is absolutely fantastic, clear, rich, and powerful in open spaces. Perfect for backyard music or entertaining. Worth every penny!

    Sonos simplicity and quality

Sonos sound and simplicity never disappoints. My last receiver was a Yamaha, which I loved, but the time had come to retire the Yamaha and install quality 5.1 wireless surround sound. I tried to stick with the latest/newest Yamaha receiver, but I found myself spending too much time getting everything to work just right — too difficult. So I switched to a Sony amp hoping for a much better experience. The Sony had an inferior sound compared to the Yamaha, so finally I decided to spend a little more to connect my current sub and Infinity speakers to a Sonos amp and Sonos surround speakers. Magic. So simple. Only problem is that I couldn’t hook up a center speaker to the amp (you can connect wirelessly, but it’s not the same) but with the quality of sound coming from my Infinity and Sonos surround speakers, I could care less. 4.1 is just right.

Had this unit installed to power existing built in speakers in our home. Very happy with the sound the unit puts out through these speakers. Also like the convenience of being able to control the music and volume through the app on my phone. Only negative comment is it is quite expensive.

I purchased the Sonos amp to replace a cheap stereo receiver. I love the functionality of this amp. I just use the app to play music through the amp, no more pairing a receiver and having to search music on another app. It's just so easy to use and it has plenty of power. It's very easy to set up too.

Very impressed with the latest sonos amp and how easy it was to setup with hdmi arc, existing speakers, and a powered sub. Originally I was planning on forgoing my ceiling speakers for our front channels and just getting a soundbar bc I didn’t want to deal with yet another remote and setup for a receiver (mainly so my family could use our LG oled with just one remote) The sonos amp solved this dilemma with flying colors - easy control via hdmi arc with the tv, sub-out for a powered sub, and paired it with an earlier generation sonos amp for our surrounds. Only sacrifice was the center channel speaker which candidly is barely noticeable due to the quality of the amp and two front channels. Everything was setup and optimized via sonos app, great sound even without a center, and the ease of use is amazing (no tech support required for the family, everything works with the LG magic remote). These amps have come a long way since their first iteration (I have 3 of those) .

I bought this to drive two passive front floor speakers in order to replace a Sonos Arc Soundbar that under-performed due to 20+ foot ceilings in my great room. The Arc Soundbar was also driving two Sonos Era300 surrounds and a Gen 3 sub to deliver my 5.1 set up. Unfortunately, the Sonos Amp does not support the Era300 surrounds, leaving me with a very expensive 2.1 set up with the Era300's simply being additional front speakers positioned where surrounds would normally be. This was a HUGE surprise to the store designer and the store install team, not to mention me, since the Era300's are not cheap. Best Buy management did the right thing and swapped out my Era300's for Era100's which DO connect as surrounds to the Sonos Amp, so I'm back to my 5.1 set up. THANK YOU BEST BUY for doing this!

Love this amp. So simple and so easy. It works just as expected. Full disclosure tho is that this amp is not a full on traditional amplifier receiver & has connection for only 1 pair of wired speakers. Another pair of Sonos wireless can also connect to this amp. It may be. Drawback for some people but for the ease of using different listening zones in and outside the house & the simple, seamless usability I would still buy this amp. To expand you’ll have to buy more of these but then they all work together and you can add or drop speaker sets as you desire. Worth it cuz you’ll love it.

Sonos is super easy and makes listening to all kinds of streaming services easy and fun. This amplifier will drive just about any 8ohm speaker and it sounds good. I like the line-level sub woofer output so I can drive a 2nd amplifier for my subwoofer speaker. Setup is easy. My only complaint is that I have old Sonos speakers and mixing new and old limit the capabilities of the new devices. Poor planning on Sonos' part. This amp lives in my basement and drives two outdoor speakers on my patio. Great to sit down, pull out the phone and turn up the music on a nice day.

Fantastic amp. Powerful and streams music directly from my iPhone to speakers that I have hooked up in my backyard. No problems. Why did I hang on to my receiver -- which was a piece of garbage compared to this?

Great Sound, Teenage Torture Device Capabilities

I have three of these Sonos Amps, one for each level of my house, and they deliver excellent sound quality throughout. The multi-room setup works seamlessly and the audio is crisp and powerful. Perfect for creating that whole-house music experience I wanted. However, I didn't anticipate that my teenage daughters would weaponize this system to subject me to Taylor Swift at maximum volume from multiple floors simultaneously. Apparently "Shake It Off" sounds the same whether it's coming from the basement, main floor, or upstairs - just louder and more inescapable. The real issue? At $700 each, I'm questioning my life choices. Yes, the sound quality is great, but honestly, Alexa devices deliver surprisingly similar results for a fraction of the cost. The difference in audio quality exists, but it's not $2,100 worth of difference for my setup

I previously had my outdoor speakers running off the rear channel of our Marantz receiver but a lack of tone controls left my Definitive Technology AW6500WHI speakers sounding a little flat. I kicked around buying the Sonos Amp but due to a lack of availability I just kind of forgot about until recently. I have to say that hooking up the Sonos Amp not only woke the Def Techs up but prompted me to buy an outdoor sub which this amp powers with ease. I’m now annoying the neighbors with bass tracks just like I did as a teenager! Seriously though, if your on the fence don’t be… it’s well worth the investment.

Super powerful amp. It worked with non-sonos speakers; and the setup was pretty straightforward. I’d highly recommend these! The best part is they work great with Airplay and I can pair then with other my bose speakers over Airplay.

The amp was received quickly. It was in original packaging and appeared to be in brand new condition. Best open box item ever. Hooked it up and tested. Working perfectly. It’s very convenient to operate. A little pricey, but excellent choice for multi room system! Only complaint is shipping package. The unit was in larger shipping box with no padding inside. Luckily it was not damaged during transit. A few pennies worth of packing paper would be a good investment!
