I bought a new TV with Arc-HDMI for audio. My current set up includes wired speakers and a sub powered by an older receiver without Arc technology. The Sonos Amp allowed be to keep my current speaker set up while modernizing the who system. The speakers sound great and I can now stream music through these speakers via the Sonos app. A total win!

A great product, for TV and music listeners since it does both jobs equally well. I use the AMP in my kitchen to power a pair of $1,200 Triad Bronze stereo bookshelf speaker. And it can get loud when I want. The AMP is connected to our Kitchen, 2020 Sansung TV, via the tv's ARC input. We use it every week night for TV viewing i.e. Netflix, etc. Then on weekends, when we entertain friends, we use the AMP for Spotify music play back via the SONOS S2 (Gold) iPhone controller app. Many people complain that at $700 each, it's to expensive but I believe it's well worth the money because at 125 watts per channel (at 8ohms, stereo) it easily drives large 2 and 3-way, speakers with 6" to 8" drivers. The original 1st generation SONOS amplifier was a pathetically under powered toy, that was unworthy of serious consideration. This redesigned 2nd generation AMP product is a VAST improvement in terms of ARC tv input connectivity and output power (125 watts at 8 ohms per channel). The only draw back with the SONOS AMP is that it is NOT stable under a low ohm output load i.e. be VERY careful about connecting multiple pairs of 8 ohm stereo speakers to a single AMP device. You may get away with it initially, at low volumes. But if you crank the volume and attempt a multi hour, high volume party, the AMP will likely to heat up, go into thermal protection mode and shut off ...assuming the output circuits don't short out and become permanently damaged.

I love this Sonos player. It has worked since day one and continues to work without issue. We listen to SiriusXM, Spotify, digitized CDs and sometimes other sources like Amazon. We've never had an issue with it yet. Contrast that with the HAP-S1 that I had for a couple of years before that - it hung constantly. I would come home and find it was switched on and frozen even though it was switched off the day before. I contacted Sony support many times and they were useless which is a shame because I like Sony products typically. Anyway, the move to Sonos was seamless.

I love the new Sonos for its power , its design, I replaced a receiver with the new Amp, i have more power for my speakers and space , a great looking piece of Equipment.

Easy set up, handles 4 speakers, no center speaker, have not tried the hdmi setup. Easy to setup, app works well, can stream easily. Gets warm, easy to move between indoor and outdoor, hopefully nene y version will allow hardwire center speaker.

Similar to Apple products, this Sonos amp is pricey for what it is and you can probably find other solutions that may be cheaper or more powerful. However, this product works perfectly out of the box and has you listening to your speakers in less than 10 minutes. Additionally, I haven’t experienced any problems using it over the past month. It is super easy to use like all Sonos products and just works. Definitely recommend if you want a simple no maintenance solution.

I'm very pleased with this Sonos Amp! I use it to power 4 speakers embedded in my ceiling, and I plan to buy two more to group with this to play the same music in multiple zones in my home. Except for the minimal controls on the front, the Amp is entirely controlled by the Sonos Amp. Through that, I can stream SiriusXM Radio, Amazon Music, and dozens of other streaming services. I may also link it to a network storage device to use to to play my larger music collection. Very well designed and easy to use product!

Sonos is Amps are outstanding allow you to have great sounding music throughout your home both indoors and outdoors. They make it simple so simple to listen to music with the app. I love it and my wife now can easily control the music and volume. I have a total of 3 amps . One is pushing a couple of bowers of Wilkins 702 series and a sub sounds great.

This bad boy is the rockstar of portability, power and design and functionality with ease in integration.

Incredibly easy to install and the app is outstanding. In our home, 50% volume is almost too much. We will likely never find the distortion point on these. My only frustration was the width of the openings for the speaker cable. Be wary of using heavy gauge speaker wire if your setup includes 4 speakers. We barely got both sets the posts and had try a few times to twist fresh cable with pliers to make it work. High quality sound, features, and UX. Can’t wait to expand to other areas of the house.

Worked with the Geek Squad to update all of our entertainment systems. This was one of the BEST BUY recommendations. This one small Amp provides more power the 5 speaker zones we have outside that our previous received which cost 3 times as much; AND it is fully integrated with our wireless network for ease of use!

My first foray in Sonos ownership, and while the components are startlingly expensive for someone who never paid more than $500 for a receiver and wired stuff himself, this gear is simply awesome. As for the amp itself, I cant tell you exactly what it does well in terms of powering four speakers, but I can say that it’s an indispensable component of the Sonos system overall, which is mind-blowing in terms of functionality, quality and simplicity. Amazing music, and the system is easy to access and manage.

Super powerful amp. It worked with non-sonos speakers; and the setup was pretty straightforward. I’d highly recommend these! The best part is they work great with Airplay and I can pair then with other my bose speakers over Airplay.

This Sonos amp came highly recommended by an audio tech that installed my speakers. I was so concerned i would have to have him come back out to handle the install but i was completely wrong. As someone very unfamiliar with audio, i easily installed this in less than 10 mins. Out of the box, the instructions guide you on how to install. The only downside is the instructions were not clear that the plugs screwed open to install the wiring. I had to watch a few online videos for those instructions. Once connected, i installed the app and that was it. The app is so intuitive. It walks you step by step how to setup your device. When i turned it on, the sound is perfect - clear and crisp. I love that you can connect both music and book readers like audible. The connectable apps is pretty extensive, that I was impressed. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone. If you’re on the fence about this purchase, I’ll happily encourage you to make the leap. Excellent product thats well worth the investment.

I own 4 Sonos speakers and have always loved the brand. Upon moving to a new house that has built in speakers inside and outside, I needed an amp. I looked no further than the Sonos Amp as it works seamlessly with my other Sonos speakers. I have this amp powering 4 speakers (2 inside and 2 outside) and it has plenty of power. My speakers sound great and I love that I can have all my speakers playing the same thing or different things. Yes it’s pricey, but you pay for quality.

Paired this with some Sonance outdoor speakers and was able to create a whole home experience with Sonos speakers in each room and using the Amp to connect to the outdoor speakers I can go anywhere and hear music. Easy to use and setup, the only negative is that when you clean the unit (we are very dusty here in AZ) you have to be careful or you will start the unit playing (Amp is indoors vs outdoor speakers).
