The sonos arc ultra is a nice upgrade to the sonos arc. It is certainly not a significant upgrade. It is more of a refinement as it is 15%-20% better than the sonos arc. The improvements are better bass and voices from the arc ultra. It is definitely worth the $100 price difference between the arc and the arc ultra. However, if you currently have an arc, you will not notice a huge improvement. The arc is an amazing sound bar, one of the best, the arc ultra is slightly better. I believe the arc ultra is better than both the bose ultra and the bravia theater bar 9, offering better bass and clearer and crisper voices. Music is also much better on the arc ultra than either of these two sound bars.

The sound bar itself sounds decent. As expected it’s nowhere near what you hear in the store but very good. The bass is the big seller. For the size it does have it. But for the price it’s not as complete a product as it seems. The additional speakers to complete the set are very pricy and are very buggy in the app. May be suitable for some but not what I was hoping to get for the cost.

I must admit; I love loud music and movies. Therefore I ventured into my local Best Buy to browse sound systems/soundbars to capture the immersive sound we or rather I enjoy at the theater. Of course the names that usually are applied to sound are Sony, Samsung, Bose and LG among others. Thankfully Best Buy does allow customers to test soundbars while shopping and I explored those names I listed above and of course I began leaning towards a couple BUT then I discovered the Sonos Arc Ultra on display. To my amazement I was BLOWN AWAY!! CAPTIVATING, IMMERSIVE and UNMATCHED were a few of the words that came to mind. I felt compelled to purchase it and watching movies and listening to music took me to a whole NEW level. The sound is mesmerizing especially for any Dolby Atmos content but in essence every type of digital format is stunning! The voice clarity and bass are room thumping. The term soundbar doesn't do the Arc Ultra justice; to me it's more of a sound system because while you are listening it seems as though sound is coming from all around as though speakers are to left and right and behind but there's nothing there. AMAZING!! If sound and immersive are your thing then this is the way to go. Kudos to Sonos for creating a GREAT PRODUCT!! A must BUY!!

Excellent soundbar when paired with the Sonos Sub 4. If you dont want a whole complex home audio system then this is it. Sennheiser Ambeo products were next in line but I saw some mixed reveiws so I went with Sonos. Now with the arc and sub (& new hdmi cable) I'm basically at $2,000. Thats not an easy pill to swallow but I decided daddy needed a treat. The audio is great, the dialog is exceptional coming from a top-of-the-line Denon product. Set up was a breeze and it take a few extra minutes to run updates. If you are not super picky about audio, you could probably buy a handful of other 2.1 systems that will get you close for at least $1,200 less. If the money isnt an issue, pull the trigger and pick this up ASAP, dont think twice.

I purchased this about one month ago, hoping it would be a noticeable improvement on our Sonos Playbar, which we've had for about seven+ years. Our main appliance for TV watching is a TiVo, albeit an old TiVo (~14 years), but it's HD, and it will be our main appliance until it finally quits. Out of the box, sound with the TiVo was constantly muddy, like static on an AM radio. I could tweak lots of stuff on the ArcUltra to make the sound better, but that required turning off many of that advanced features of the AU, which made this a really bad purchase. Why pay for all of these cool things when you must turn them off for good sound? We mainly watch movies with Apple TV, and for that, the AU was great. But, in order to get the full benefit of the AU, I would be switching on all of the features I just turned off. Way too much hassle. It got returned after two weeks. If you buy this and plan to use it with a TiVo, open it up carefully in case you need to return it, and keep in mind your return window. I wanted to like the Arc Ultra, but it just didn't work for our situation. Overall, I love Sonos. We have a Playbar, mini sub, and seven Play:1 speakers scattered about, and one 1st gen Roam. Overall, it's a very nice system; not perfect, but really good. Caveat: On the question "would you recommend this system," my honest answer is "maybe.". I can't say yes, because it didn't work for us.

Overall this item has greater sound quality and greater online futures. The Sonos app is for the most part easy to use. My only complaint would be the fact you have to have internet to be able to use most all of the Sonos products. Otherwise very happy with my purchase.

I have other Sonos products and am impressed with those. I was hesitant on this purchase due to the price point, but overall I’m super happy with it and would do it again. The sound is amazing. The virtual surround sound is impressive. Dialog of regular tv is great. That was always a struggle with previous center channel speakers. They were too muddy. The bass is substantial for a sound bar. Not the equivalent as a dedicated sub but more than you could ask for from a sound bar. Can’t wait to complete the home theater with full surround and sub at some point.

The sound experience with this soundbar is incredible. If you aren't a huge bass head, the built in sub is enough to get the job done without adding an actual sub. Mine is currently paired with the Era 100's as surrounds in a average size living room and it's more than enough for us. the set up was really easy as well, the app walks you through everything.

The Sonos system is the best. Great sound with not a lot of effort. You don’t have wires everywhere just 2. Plug into the tv and plug into an outlet. Setup is easy on the app and you have theater quality sound in your home. I have two systems I loved it so much.

I started off with stereo gen 2 homepods and those were awesome, but I was looking to build out a home setup with more bass. I sprung on the beam gen 2 with sub mini and era 100s for rears and that was good too. I did notice the beam getting drowned out a lot from the sub and rears, so I sold it off along with the sub mini and got this one and the sub 3. The height channels are something different and music sounds phenomenal. There’s so many detail I get from even older tracks. I thought Atmos was a fluke until I installed this bad boy. Everything sounds so clear and detailed that I can’t go back.

Just upgraded from the Arc, paired with a Gen 3 sub, to the Arc Ultra. The Ultra is louder, has better bass, and better clarity. It’s worth the upgrade. I appreciate the Bluetooth pairing that’s added so I can pair directly to the bar without needing to use the app. Compared to the Arc, the ultra is a few inches longer but has a lower profile since it’s an inch shorter. Love that I was able to use the same wall mount from the Arc. Overall happy with my purchase and lucky the Ultra was released within my return period from my Arc purchase.

I replaced my original Sonos PLAYBAR with the Sonos Arc Ultra, and the upgrade is worth it. Dialogue clarity is excellent, with improved speech enhancement options that make voices easier to understand Bass performance is noticeably stronger than the PLAYBAR on its own Room tuning and overall balance are also better, especially in a modern TV setup. HDMI eARC, support for newer audio formats, Bluetooth, and updated connectivity make the Arc Ultra feel future-proof. Bottom line: If you want immersive sound and modern standards, the Arc Ultra is a worthy successor. If you’re happy with basic TV audio and don’t need Atmos, the PLAYBAR still holds up surprisingly well. I appreciate having the ability to turn on night mode and voice enhancement using voice commands and the SONOS app. Nice feature when you live in an apartment

Amazing sound quality you expect from Sonos, it complete fills my home theater space. Seemless integration with my new Sonos Era 100 speakers for surround, and my older Sonos Subwoofer as well. Easy setup and integration!

In my opinion, the Sonos Arc Soundbar is the finest soundbar on the market. Incredible clarity and range. I now have three because the high bar was established when I purchased the first one a few months ago. I just purchased in white and love the incredibly clean look. Great product and worth every penny!!

This is my first foray into higher end sound bars. I moved to Sonos from a $150 TCL soundbar. The sound quality is spectacular. It’s a massive difference from the cheap stuff. The soundbar does a great job isolating voices and making it easy to understand movies and shows. The atmos works well, but isn’t perfect. It depends a lot on where you are sitting in relation to the soundbar, too (head on, to the side, etc.) The biggest issue I had was, once I got it, I wanted more. This soundbar gives you a taste of what could be an OUTSTANDING audio set up. Naturally, I had to get the Sub Mini to go with it. Adding the sub makes this a 100% solutions for a basic high-end setup. You’ll want for nothing. Adding rear speakers takes it to the next level. Then you get a complete surround sound experience. Everything synced perfectly with the app and setup was fast. The EQ settings work well and make a noticeably impact. Let me reiterate - you can get this, and only this, and be perfectly happy. Blown away, even, by the fidelity and quality. However, Sonos makes it SO EASY to integrate other components that you may find yourself dropping another $1000 (or two…) and creating an amazing soundscape for yourself. Then, of course, you’ll be upgrading your TV because if the sound is so good the picture better be as well… I guess what I’m saying is that once you get a taste it can snowball ;) It’s a perfect jumping off point, though, as you can add to it over time.
