You need the bridge to run the speakers through the house. I am so glad I grabbed it before leaving the store. I love my Sonos speaker. The sound quality is amazing. We use two androids, an ipad, and a laptop to run it. I wish I would have bought sooner. I love how easy it is to play your music from your device, pandora, iheart radio, amazon player.

We love everything about our Sonos system! They have rewritten the saying "reads like stereo instructions!" It's as simple as plug and play with this entire system, even the sound bar for our TV. Amazing whole house sound for a very affordable price compared to other stereo systems, plus it grows with you when you want to expand. Great product!

It is needed for every sonos speaker, but very easy to set up and add speakers to the bridge through a computer or phone.

SONOS really rocks it out. We've tried many other sound systems but SONOS trumps them all. Well worth every $ we paid.

I bought this to allow me to use my Play:5 anywhere in the house without having to connect the Play:5 itself to my network. Setup was super easy. Range seems pretty solid - I even took the Play:5 out in the backyard for a party the other night and was fine as long as I didn't take it all the way to the edge of my property.

The bridge is essential to having a great Sonos home system playing different music or movies in different rooms!

Sonos does a great job with its product quality and value. Its not low cost, but it is feature rich and overall, a great value. You can't get this kind of sound quality with other products and you can't get such a great user experience and/or ease of operation. Their product line really is versatile.

This device acts as a wireless bridge to avoid having to hard-line one of your Sonos speakers to your router. Its easy to link up (like everything Sonos) and pretty much set-it-and-forget-it. It took a couple of presses to get the link set, but once the press registered it worked quick and easy.

This bridge was very simple to set up. It is very compact. I love the fact that I have the ability to hook up up to 30 separate speakers. It is so wonderful that the system can be controlled by my computer, phone, and iPad.

I use a second Sonos bridge as a range extender for the main SONOS system.....I can be 50 yards to my fire pit and listen to wireless music. Sonos is the best way to listen to music. If you are an audiophile get a small DAC to upgrade the basic sound.....AWESOME!

This inexpensive little device is the "magic-maker" in the Sonos system. It allows access to the internet and its unlimited music sources! It generates its own WiFi signal to wirelessly sends music signal to the remotely located Sonos speakers. It DOES NOT steal bandwidth from you internet signal. This IS NOT your father's wireless system. The sound is as pure and full of dynamic range as internet music coming through my wired internet access. This device revolutionized my music listening experience. Highly recommend. Using the FREE Sonos app on my android phone is a snap! It accesses a multitude of music sites such as Pandora. Songza is quickly becoming my favorite for customizing music stations. Can't say enough! Buy it!!!
