We bought the bridge, which is basically required to use the Sono speakers. It is like a router, and communicates with your speaker to produce sound, utilizing the internet. The good thing is that you only need one bridge, unless you have more than 32 Sono speakers, or a HUGE amount of square footage. We have 3400 sq ft in our two leveled house, and have had no problems with good quality sound while moving the speaker around in various rooms.

I made the initial mistake of not getting a bridge with my first Sonos speaker and quickly went back to purchase one. I have moved my Play 5 from room to room with the bridge allowing great sound as I build my collection.

If you are looking for a Sound system that will "blow your socks off", in terms of total Volume, this isn't the system for you. However, i went to Best buy looking to get the Bose sound bar for my new t.v. I have a lot of Bose equipment but the sales guy had me compare the Bose sound bar to the sonos sound bar with wireless subwoofer. The clarity was incredible and I thought the price might be a little less. It was not. However, what makes the Sonos system more expensive in the end, makes it more valuable to me as a consumer. I have added a Play 3 to the sound bar and sub woofer and the system gets better and better. The point is that the woofer and sound bar sound just as good as the bose bar and better than the sony 7.1 or samsung bars. But, you can add the additional speakers when you are ready and each (speaker (play 3 or play 5)) can be set up to play anywhere you want in your household, or outside, and play different stations or T.V., depending on what you select on the Sonos application. That brings me to the sonos application: Originally, i was looking for a bar that had bluetooth so that i could play pandora on it. The sonos system doesn't have bluetooth but works off of an application that you download on your phone or computer, which in turn communicates through a router you set up to your wifi. the application and router allows you to multitask each speaker to play whatever you like in any room, depending on where you set up the speakers. So, i walk into my living room, my sonos bar and woofer are playing the sounds coming from my t.v. but when i go to my bedroom, the sonos play 3 is playing pandora. To sum up, the clarity is awesome and the base is great. It does not have a lot of power and the flexibility of the speakers and the use of the sonos application makes it great bang for the buck and can be used for more than T.V. entertainment.

Used bridge to connect multiple Sonos 3 and Sonos 5 speakers to make whole house music system. Easy setup with the provided app on your computer. Can choose "party mode" for the same music throughout your house or can play different music in each room from Internet or from your computer's stored music. Another great benefit is that your computer doesn't have to on to play Internet Sources. Can control system from app on computer, Android phone or Apple phone.

Very easy to set up, I had the whole system set up within 15 minutes and named all three speakers. Which I can control from my tablet. Set up the alarm to start playing music in my room before the alarm goes off. The radio station in the bathroom for the news, while I get ready for work. This has been the easiest system to set up and will probably add more speakers in the future, already have three speakers.

Great technology that allows music to be played wirelessly through your home wify. No cords or cables are required as this is connected to the wireless modum. your smart phone controls everything. If you don't have a great wireless router, you may want to upgrade the router for better speed and quality if you run more than one thinig wirelessly. Overall, it's simply and a very good source for wireless music.

I love the Sonos systems use it with ZWave SmartThings this lost a star because I was a day late for a sale but it reminded me that the Sonos is a bit pricey. I would recommend the Sonos 3 and a bridge
