Added this to my current soundbar & subwoofer (sony) to allow them to wireless receive music from apps on my phone.

The Sonos connect is a great way to enhance your existing stereo system. In my case it enables me to use sirius on my stereo. Along with the app for iPhone, it makes this a very accessible system for a blind person.

The easiest, and best, music player on the market. Simple to use, simple to connect. It lets you just enjoy the music!

This was very easy to set up,as we use it for our outdoor speaker system. Basically plug and play and works perfectly! we now can play music throughout our backyard and can be anywhere to change a song or playlist by using our phones. Great way to update an old receiver!

i thought that i can use it to connect my receiver to my current sonos speakers, but it is the opposite, the only you can connect it an audio jack, the rest does the opposite, send the sonos stream to your theater system. The audio quality from the jack was average, and actually i had some in the conversion from analog to digital causing cuts in he audio. I love my sonos speakers, i am just waiting for some cheaper device to take advantage of my old equipment to be able to use it with my sonos. For the price and the features i will not recommend this device. I end up returning it.

A must...if you have existing speakers throughout the house. Enables you to run sound through them

The product as advertised is very satisfying as to performance. It does seem to have some very minor glitches, like brief lack of volume control among devices playing simultaneously (I have 2 Play:1s and 2 Play:3s) but I give it the benefit of the doubt since this issue can be related to home Wi-Fi instability, maybe not so much the application itself. Other than that, it does exactly what Sonos describes. In that respect, I'd give it 5 stars but I cannot overlook the fact that at $350.00 dollars (+ taxes) it should have more features, at least one optical audio in with a nice DAC, for instance. And the capacity to create a 5.1 system would have made this a killer interface. I use the Connect with a separate DAC to have the sound of my TV play through the Sonos speakers, and the sound is fantastic. Stereo is the only mode, of course, that's why I lament so much Sonos' neglect to include an optical-In option with 5.1 capability. But the Connect's limitation should not surprise an informed customer who knows what he/she is getting. You can get 5.1 by adding other Connects to route Center/Left/Right surround channels from your own DAC...and that will leave you with a + or - $2,000.00 audio system. So...is it worth?

Like the sound as well the ease of controlling music from smart phone oe tablet or laptop. Easy to set up.

Easy set-up and unlimited music streaming to other speakers, Love it! I'm a music lover & use to play cd's but now with Amazon Prime, can play hours of music from my play list or theirs & no worries about inserting another disc & it connects to all speakers through out the house!

I can use my existing stereo to stream music through my Sonos system. I can't get it to stream from my stereo system though. Apparently there is an issue with Pioneer receivers.

The Sonos is great device for the house. My parents who are not that tech savy are able to easily use it

The Sonos system lets you hear great sound anywhere in your house, even different things in different rooms. It interfaces with your other audio components and the internet. Control with your phone, iPad etc. I purchased the components piece by piece til I had what I needed. Will slowly add more speakers.

I am using this to connect my stereo system into my Sonos multiroom setup along with using the AUX input for PC audio connection to two Sonos Ones sitting on my desk. Setup is easy and sounds great. Not giving it 5 stars though because of poor value for the money for what it is. Very expensive for the functionality it offers although its well constructed.

Our house was pre wired with speakers already so the full speaker system was not necessary. This did the trick for me to be able to control all the rooms with my iPhone/iPad. It is a little overpriced and if you are in a similar situation as me you should also look into the Bose equivalent which is half the price. Overall good quality product and would have given 5 stars if the price was lower. If you find an open box one buy it.

Price point seems higher than peers however the product interface is clearly aligned with its performance.

Easy to set up and simple to use. Worked right out of the box without bothering with the directions!

Sonos connect amp is super easy to setup. Works great with all music services. Spotify require paid subscription . Same with Pandora one if you looking for desktop download. Watch for network- won't work correctly with network extenders ! Did try sonos booster - same issues

This device worked as advertised. Ties my theater system to my other Sonos speakers!
