    I purchased this cable because I built a custom wood speaker stand for my Play:1 and I wanted to hide the power cord. As a result, I needed the cord to drop straight down off the base of the speaker, not out the back. Also, I needed the long length to reach my outlet. The specs don’t note Play:1 comparability but it worked perfectly.

    Cord worked to replace the cord my puppy chewed up. Did you know that a chewed cord really can flame up when it is plugged in. Yeah, I didn't know either. Happy to have one less fire hazard in my home.

    I am cheap man. I bought this so I can move the sound bar between the upstairs TV and downstairs TV. I am also a lazy man. Now I don't have the untangle the power cord from the other cords.

    Clearly a quality cord from Sonos. Being longer than the original, with our Fives on stands this allowed for optimal placement while keeping the cord hidden. Well worth the reasonable cost!
