This speaker has improved my life. No joke. We now have three play:1's and a soundbar in various rooms. Having music playing across the house is so enjoyable, and the sound is so rich even out of the smallest one Sonos offers. I had to turn the bass down a little because the speaker is so powerful. I've been recommending the speaker to everybody and will probably be buying a few more in the near future.

Easy to set up and sounds great. Corner placement makes sound a bit fuller/reinforces bass.

I was looking for a speaker to put in my kitchen that would easily play music or radio while my wife and I were cooking, baking, cleaning, or just hanging out. The speaker itself does this beautifully. The app works well, and I love that I can access TuneIN Radio without any additional hardships. The sound is great, it even walked me through a calibration that was as easy as walking around my kitchen with my phone so it could play music specifically beneficial for my space. My only complaint is that the Sonos App is missing features from my iTunes Music app, but that's not really fair to hold against the speaker. I am overall very pleased with my purchase, and hope to buy more speakers soon for other rooms in my house.

Great sound, easy to set up, and works great with all streaming services!

Great sound and synchs to other Sonos units flawlessly. Have multiple units throughout various parts of house. Sound quality EXCELLENT! Portable so if you need to move around. Ability to synch certain units to each other while keeping others on their own. I run separate Pandora channels of different units so family can enjoy their own taste in music. Would definitely recommend. I'll be buying more in the future.

This is my 5th Play:1 speaker in my house. Also have a Play:3 and they all work great. Easy to use, reliable and the sound is great. You may get better sound quality from other high end speakers, but you won’t get a better ‘Value’ than Sonos. I’m renovating my basement - adding about 1000 square feet and the Sonos will be set up for the home theater I’m creating.

So simple to set up and puts out amazing sound. I now have 4 play 1's set up throughout the house, a soundbar, sub, and 2 play 3's. This is the simplest and easy system to set up. We absolutely love it. The app to control all of the speakers works great on our computers, tablets, and most often used right from the cell phone.

This is just what I needed to enjoy the radio and cds streaming from my computer in one room but allowing great sound, without wires, in any other room. I am getting even better reception streaming the radio station from my computer than I was getting with actual radios. The computer can be shut down but the speaker still works as long as the wireless is operating. I am thrilled with the sound and compact size.

I always wanted to wire the house for sound. Sonos allows you to do that without the wires. Plus, you can take all of the equipment when you move. The Play: 1 has great sound for such a small speaker. In less than five minutes of plugging in the new speaker, you can easily integrate it into the rest of your Sonos system. I highly recommend looking into Sonos if you love music in every room in your house.

The Play:1 speaker is a small speaker with BIG SPEAKER Sound. I have used one Play:1 speaker in the Living Room, the Kitchen and the Garage as a single mobile speaker with great sound in these different areas, the largest (LR) is 14’ x 24’. I have also used Play:1 speakers for surround sound, paired with the PlayBar mounted beneath my 55” TV, for even better sound.

I use these as stand-alone speakers in each of our bathrooms, but also have a pair as rear-surrounds in the main living room which are paired with the PlayBar and Sub. The sound produced by these units is really amazing, especially considering their size. If you've been considering investing in Sonos, these Play:1's are a great place to start for a small room. Even better if you add them to a larger system.

We used to always have Bose speakers, however we will never go back after purchasing products from Best Buy/Sonos. The speakers are extremely easy to set up and sound amazing. We are using them for both our surround sound and for additional speakers in other rooms. We thought about getting the play 5, however we really didn't want to have that big of a speaker if we didn't have to. We were told that if we didn't like them and decided on the larger speaker later we could exchange, but for us there was no reason to. Works great with the app on your phone. The only issue for us is one of the local radio stations that we frequently listen to is listed in the app, but it states that it is "unable to play the radio station" so we aren't sure if it is a Sonos issue or the stations issue.

I have 3 of these, so obviously I'm a fan! This one is for my 80 year old mom! I showed her how to burn her CDs and then showed her how to play the music on her Sonos. She's pretty good with a computer anyway, but Sonos is super easy to operate. She prefers to use her laptop for the control, but can also use her smartphone. The App makes it easy! Great sound too...even from the small one!

Love the ease of set up, compatibility with the Sonos system, the size to be able to move it were you want it and of course the sound! The only downside is that it's not totally wireless. A portable battery pack stand would be a great bonus feature.

I am absolutely obsessed with this purchase. I don't think I have ever bought something for myself that I have enjoyed this much, honestly! We were considering purchasing a turntable with vinyls along with other speakers, but after hearing the quality of the Sonos Play:1 we decided to give this a try instead. I'm so glad we did! You can use any music streaming service such as Apple Music or Spotify seamlessly. Also if you want everyone in the family to have control, you can simply set up different accounts - which also sync to their music library on their phone! Another thing I was iffy about at first was it being a wifi speaker, rather than bluetooth. However, the fact that it is wifi makes all the difference! I personally like that I can play music via my phone and also watch snapchats/videos if I feel like it and the music won't be interrupted on the speaker as it would with a bluetooth speaker. I have zero negative things to say about this speaker. And it honestly only gets better because for only a little bit more, you can have an alexa built into the speaker (probably not the best way of explaining this, but if you ask at Best Buy they can explain it way better). My only advice: buy this speaker asap!!! Perfect for apartments too!

I use my Sonos every day. It was easy to set up and the sound quality is awesome.

The store display uses a single Play:1, ok but not all that impressive compared to the Play:2, but my use was to be stereo, and when paired right and left, awesome, compares with my Bose which are great! Can't tell you how much I enjoy listening to them. The controller, whether using my iPad, iPhones or laptop, is as easy as advertised. And Sonos keeps improving, they don't sit on their laurels.

Put one of these in our master bathroom for my wife when she's getting ready. The sound quality and the ease of use are second to none. Sonos clearly passes the wife test - music is on somewhere (or everywhere) in the house when I get home from work. Up to 4 Play:1's, a Play:5 and a Connect:Amp in a matter of weeks - we're that pleased with the system. It's like the microwave - it just works. No fuss.
