Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the PLAY:3 Wireless Speaker's exceptional sound quality and ease of use. Many appreciate its compact size and the strong bass response, while the wireless functionality and straightforward setup are also frequently praised. However, some find the price to be a significant drawback, and a few users have expressed concerns about the user experience with the accompanying app.

The sound quality is very good with good projection. Wireless signal quality is impressive for range; better than laptop wireless card. Joining established network was extremely simple. It is not possible to limit access to individual speakers without setting up a separate network. Once someone has access to the Sonos network, they can control any / all speakers on the network. Limited control would be a nice to have, especially if there are children around.

    Great general speaker

I am by no means an audiophile snob but I do own and appreciate some nice electronic pieces that I have had for many years. The Sonos is a great little general speaker that you can use throughout the house (we have ours in our living room) for some general music listening. These will not blow your mind, they will not make you hear things you never heard before and they will not be the talk of the neighborhood. They do sound nice, start up immediately (once you have them set up properly-which is a bit of a process) and have decent sound. The set up process is a little weird but it works. Trying to get the speakers to "go" when you turn on, say, Spotify, requires you to manually switch the "devices available" to the speaker. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it does but it's that every so often that requires a little extra effort. Not complaining but I'm sure others will. Once on, the speaker sounds good. I have Martin Logan's as our home theater speakers so that's my comparison. That's comparing a $300 speaker to a $3,000 speaker. You get what you pay for. I'm not saying they don't sound good but don't expect your ears to be blow away. Compared to our JBL Flip speaker, the Sonos is amazing. We tried the 1, 3 and 5 at the store and there really is a difference between the 3. The 1 has little to no bass, the 3 has enough to make the music enjoyable at decent sound levels and the 5 really takes it to the next level. The 5 is a fairly large speaker which we didn't really want. The 3 almost disappears on a piece of furniture which makes my wife happy. I really like the fact that it's always on so all you need to do it turn on your source and switch it over and go. The convenience of playing your music from your phone is worth the drawback in the speaker sound. Overall we are very happy with our purchase. I'm about to buy another one for my mother. It will be perfect in a kitchen/living room/dinning room setting. The music will fill her entire house.

I already have a SONOS Playbar and Sub and love it. This speaker is located in another room and was easy to setup using the SONOS app. It doesn't get any easier!!! The sound is remarkable, even the bass!!

Sonos Play 3 - Better bass than Play 1

I have Play 1, Play 3 and Play 5 speakers. They all sound great. As the price indicates - the Play 5 is the best of the Sonos line. The play 3 is great in a smaller room where a play 5 would be overkill.

I love this Sonos Play 3...It was easy to set up, I used the bridge, and it sounds great and there is no drop. I am using a cable wifi connection. I will in the near future be buying the play 5 as it has an aux input. This will just expand the current system. Up to 32 devices can be connected i believe which is a lot of units. If you have 2 of the same you can connect them in a stereo pair. Overall we really love it and recommend it.

Almost perfect. So easy to set up and use you can't go wrong. I tell everyone who hears it that they should buy one or more and replace anything they are using now. I'm adding pieces slowly to get the whole house covered.

I absolutely love my sono speakers. The sound quality is perfect. Loud enough to fill a large room and clear enough to hear every word. Paired with the sonos subwoofer this is a great sound system.

Simple setup. Easy to easy application. Connects with the other Sonos products brilliantly. Highly recommended. Excellent surround speakers for the Sonos Playbar (current setup), but also sound great with music playback.

These are so easy to set up it's silly. Download an app to your phone or other device and you get even more control. They sound incredible especially for their size. Great way to bring music to another area of the house.

Love my wireless speaker. I can play it anywhere in my house as long as I am connected to Wi-Fi. I am considering getting another speaker for the dual sound effect, but even one speaker is sufficient with great sound.

Love the Sonos system. Setup is so simple. Was initially worried speakers would not meet my expectations. Once music started playing though, I couldn’t stop grinning over how great it sounded.

We purchased a SONO speaker about 8 months ago, and now we are up to 5 speakers, a sub and a play bar. I wouldn't buy anything else besides SONO's. The sound is great, the size of them are perfect for any room.

    About Sonos Play:3

I've bought Sonos Play:3 for my living room. It was very easy to setup the system. Usually I use it to listen my favorite channels on Pandora. The quality of the sound is very good. For me it was very important that I could adjust the bass level using the equalizer. I cannot stand the low bass frequencies and because of that I had to return back the Bose speakers. To control Sonos Play:3 I use application on my smartphone. It's very nice and convenient tool.
