wanted to have a setup with less clutter and great sound. this satisfied both requirement. sounds great especially the low voices, and for a AIO setup, this delivers a great sound. setup was super easy and clean. says it can hold up to 75lbs, but did not try to put it under the tv.

I purchased a playbase and 2-play one speakers. Everything was very easy to set-up with the TV and blu-ray player. Make sure you get the Sonos app loaded on your smart phone or computer before starting. Then follow Sonos directions. They are very good in getting your system set-up and operational. Afterwards play with the app on your smart phone to tweak the sound system, gives you the flexible to set-up how much sound you want coming out the rear speakers. I played with it thru my smart phone and computer menu set-up a bit different between the two but very intuitive. I found the smart phone (Android) the easy way to set-up the system.

Clear, distinctive sound. I love the unique slab design, and the way it performs during movies and louder music plays. I bought this as a surround suite with the Sonos:One speakers and have never regretted investing the money to do so. Connects well. Reliable functions. No issues with it so far. I'm extremely happy with this! I'll be buying more of this product, guaranteed!

I pondered buying this item for a while and finally did and boy am I happy. It’s paired with two play ones for a nice surround sound experience. I may add the sub later but ultimately decided to go with the playbase for the built in sub. Movies and tv aren’t the same anymore thanks to another Sonos win. Super easy to group and get going through the app and comes in a super fun box.

I’m not a tech person. I wanted better sound from my expensive TV. I’ve had a Bose Lifestyle system for 20 years. It finally died last year so time for a new system. I listened to several systems in the store. Researched and read reviews for 3 months. Ultimately choose Sonos based on reviews and the simplicity. I’ve had the system for 3 months. I choose the Base over the Bar because the Bar would block my TV’s remote sensor. Over the Beam because it is in a very large room and the Beam wouldn’t have enough power. Pros - The Base has excellent sound, crisp and clear. We find ourselves listening to music more. Dialogue is easily heard and understood. Makes movies more enjoyable. Set up is very easy. Plug up the power cord, cord to the TV, run Trueplay and you are set. App works great. No issues with set up or app as others have said. It’s nice to just open the app, select your music and it starts playing. No remote or anything else to mess with. Wireless is great. Adding the sub and additional speakers was easy. Easily paired to the TV remote. Disappointment - Didn’t list this as a con because maybe I was expecting too much. The Base by itself is decent but felt like it was lacking power. Maybe because it’s in a very large room or because I was comparing it to the Lifestyle system which had a separate sub. After two months I purchased the sub and two Play 1’s. Now it will knock your socks off. The sub makes a big difference with movies. I didn’t think I needed lots of base but maybe it’s what I was accustomed too. Con - No HDMI. When spending this kind of money you would expect the latest technology. Especially from a company with such a high reputation. Summary- I recommend the Base. The pros far out weigh the cons. The sound quality is excellent and probably would have been fine by itself in a smaller room. Set up and the app are incredibly simple. Easy to add additional speakers and add other rooms/zones. I will be purchasing more speakers for other rooms in the future. Playbase by itself 4 stars. System as a whole 5 stars.

I wanted good sound, and wireless connectivity, and I got it. The app works great, the playbase has just enough bass that I don't feel like i need to pair it with the subwoofer. I almost got the playbar but I'm so happy I got the playbase. Also, setup was so so easy. Adding extra play:1s were a breeze... actually they were kinda fun.

Paired the Soundbase with new LG Oled TV. I used 2 Sonos Play:1 as surround sound and it fills the room and has good bass with the sub.

I did a lot of research and did multiple trips to BestBuy to check out. I liked everything about sonos. However in the BestBuy store the SoundTouch 300 was sounding better than sonos playbar/playbase. The playbase did not have a sub connected in the store. The playbar was connected to the sub though. I like more bass but I guess in the store the bass was set at 50% which is what trueplay sets to I guess. After reading multiple reviews about the sub I bought the playbase along with sub. Setup was very easy and it sounded awesome and to my surprise much better than the soundtouch 300. I have set the sub bass level at about 70%. Filled my big living room with great sound and thumping bass. I then tried without sub to checkout the built in sub of playbase. I have set the playbase bass level to high in EQ settings. The bass was good but it did not have the same effect that I had when used with separate sub. The playbase built in bass may be good enough for many but to me the extra money on separate sub was worth of it. I can listen to this forever! I also bought a play 5 which I connected to an airport express to airplay so I can play from any app directly. I grouped play 5 to playbase/sub to play the same song if I want. I can't wait to add two play 1s for a 5.1 surround. Having said that when I played some surround sound tests in youtube, the playbase performed excellently well even without those two play 1s.

Great alternative to other sound bars. Low profile base doesn't take up a lot of space. Pared with the Sonos Sub and 2 Sonos One's as a 5.1 system, the deep bass, immersive surround sound is amazing! Rewatching movies, producing ambient sounds that were previously unnoticed with our previous HTiB system.

I am a very huge fan of SONOS. I bought this to add on to my home theater collection. The app is super useful. This sound bar has a very crisp, clear, sound. The bass was rich. I just hate how it can’t handle 100% volume. This bar with the sub woofer tho oOooo. It would sound AMAZING
