Solid Sonos Streaming

Solid product. I have other Sonos products and bought this to tie in my Crosley music box. Now I can listen to radio, old tapes, cd, & records wherever I have a Sonos speaker. I know what I was getting, but wish it had more input connections so I could also tie it into the TV that it sits next to. Also tried it as an input and output to an old received and work just fine. Overall good product, no hiccups streaming.

Using this with a Russound amp. Works great and exactly what we were looking for. We can play music from the Sonos selections. This also allows us to connect music from our phones as well. Very pleased.

The original reason I bought the Sonos Port was to hook my Turntable up to it and play turntable music throughout the house on my Sonos speakers. You need a turntable pre-amp or an input from your amp to the port to do that. It worked OK.
Then I played digital music off the Sonos network (Apple Music) through my AMP and B&W speakers. WOW, did I say WOW. So happy I spent the money. Best of both worlds.

I added the port to my existing sonos set up, which was a breeze. Sounds better than my old connect. Better clarity as well as detail in the music. Yes, there are better streaming devices for high res but the sonos software is hard to beat.

+ Very responsive user interface
+ Good selection of music services
+ Reliable software. Haven't encountered any issue so far
- Pricy. The MSRP should be no more than $200. I don't care about the built-in dac. It can be removed to save some cost for a pure network streamer with only digital output
- Does not support Amazon Music HD or Tidal Master

This device is a great way to set up whole house audio.
The sound quality is good. This is my third streamer and it sounds the best. Streaming music has a long way to go to hit audiophile quality, and this is no exception. It’s a source material issue. However, the good outweighs this limitation. I chose Sonos because of airplay. It makes music so much more accessible. I’m keeping it.

I've reluctantly bought into the Sonos Whole-House sound eco-system, but I don't always want to use Sonos speakers. The Sonos port is the best way to add my other systems to the Sonos system.
Sonos is very expensive, but there are very few options to compete with Sonos. Sonos is also very well made.
Setup for the port, as with Sonos in general, can be hit or miss and can be very frustrating. Eventually, I've gotten everything setup and the features and sound quality are very good.

SONOS - Better than Bluetooth !

Sonos gives great flexibility with solid sound over a Bluetooth option. I have the port into the Receiver to gain access to music in all the various zones in the house without having to run wires to the bedrooms or outside. The sound quality will not let you down in the slightest. You NEED one!

I love this smart Amp. I added it to my Onkyo system by just plugging it into my network via Ethernet. Has speaker outputs and sub. Play music from my phone or any of the music services built in to it. Super easy to use with the Sonos Amp.

Integrate Analog Devices With Sonos

Bought this to integrate a commercial music streaming box with RCA outputs with our Sonos system. The port was easy to install, and it works seamlessly. This is an extremely expensive solution for integrating analog devices with the Sonos system, but it is the only way to do it.

Great device for making your own non-Sonos brands audio system synchronized with your Sonos system, I do wish that the digital output was optical as that would work better for my specific set up, but the device is small so that is the trade-off limited output options/ports.

Sonos quality is tops. The device performs to expectations. I purchased it because I wanted to connect a turntable to play through the system. IMHO the use of the product is primarily to be able to tie in a traditional home stereo to Sonos. i.e. to send online streaming to your home stereo. The only reservation I have is the price tag.
