Will be obsolete by May of 2020.

Be aware Sonos will no longer be updating legacy products after May of 2020. The Connect and Connect Amp are among these products. There is a product upgrade offer for 30% discount if you want to have a newer piece of equipment but it is only available through Sonos directly. I hope Sonos changes their mind about this but for now, beware.

Brand response from Sonos Customer Care

Thank you for the feedback! It important to note that we are not "obsolete"-ing any products in May of this year. It is true that our old players will no longer receive software updates in May. However, initially the functionality of your system will not have any impact. The functionality of features and services, particularly music service and voice partners, will be impacted as technology evolves over time. You can determine which, if any, of your players are impacted by logging into your Sonos account at sonos.com and selecting My Account > System Check. Additionally, you can find the full list of products and more explanation of this change on the Sonos blog at https://blog.sonos.com/en/end-of-software-updates-for-legacy-products/.
The product upgrade offer for 30% off is not only available directly though Sonos but is also available at any Best Buy location! If you have an impacted, trade up eligible player you can bring it into your local Best Buy and receive the same discount you would receive purchasing through Sonos directly.

sonos is no longer supporting this model. I think it's a sham that best buy is still selling these - and that sonos is letting them sell it. I am willing to change my review if best buy makes it right.
