Not because the sub is bad - it's excellent. The problem is Sonos. Their new "legacy status" basically is a warning shot. The sub came to market around 2012, which means this thing is headed to legacy status anytime now. That means your LARGE investment in this product may be short lived as Sonos pushes new product in an effort to get you to upgrade. It's a shame - great product now being put forward by a poor company.

We have committed to not ending software support for products until at least five years beyond when they are last sold to customers and the Sub is still a product that we currently sell. Additionally, the end of software updates change that we announced for our other, older products, simply states that we will no longer add new features to those devices but we have committed to supporting these products for as long as possible.
