Sony makes a solid head unit. This thing fit right in my 2014 Jeep and brought me into 2025. The android auto auto syncs up for instant connectivity. I can now have conversations, make calls, send/reply to text all using audio. I got lucky and it was an open box, so the money I saved covered the adapters needed. Overall, the unit fits my needs very well. I love having all the screen location adjustment, makes it super easy from driver to driver. My only critique would be upon startup, the reverse cam takes a few seconds to come on. But thats a me habit... I do look before I back, so its not really a big deal... figured I would mention here. A small adjustment to your driving routine and you'll be fine... always look anyway! Oh, I do like the menus and the screens are fast and smooth. I listen to a lot of real estate podcasts and this works great with Spotify and audio books. Handsfree control and menu options... I'm very happy with the value! The Best Buy installer did a great job and covered the basics with me. I'm pretty happy, thanks Sony & Best Buy!

Head unit is pretty neat. It Automatically connects to my Apple car play and the sound is amazing.

I have been a Pioneer only radio giy since high school, I am 43 now. This is my first Sony and the reason for picking it was my features vs budget allotment i absolutely love this head unit compared to my old 2017 Pioneer. The screen is amazing, sound is amazing, backup camera looks perfect after updating the software. Sound is amazing from the in unit amp but I now added a 4 channel amp and two 12s, this thing is so clean, way cleaner than the pioneer ever wanted to be. I highly recommend this head unit and if you nab jt on sale, consider it even more strongly.

Love the sony 10.1 floating screen. The apple carplay works flawlessly. The screen looks beautifuland the radio sounds great.

I aimed to get CarPlay for my 2014 Highlander, complete with a large screen, ample power for the JBL speakers, and all the functions that come with CarPlay. This Sony deck truly delivers. The perfectly large screen doesn’t block the A/C vents, it swivels for optimal viewing, and is as intuitive to operate as my iPhone 15. Even after two months, I'm still learning the ins and outs and will probably discover new features along the way. BestBuy installed it for free, which is fantastic, and it comes with a lifetime installation guarantee—awesome! I highly recommend having the installer connect an HDMI cable for A/V and a USB-C for charging to keep your options open for the future.

I really love the connectivity of this unit! It pairs well with my iPhone and car play makes my driving experience way better!

After 3 months my volume button and seek buttons popped off. No hard pressure on the unit, just bad quality buttons. look up every similar model with this button style. You will find many for sale 2nd hand with the buttons missing. great receiver if you are willing to risk the terrible buttons.

I absolutely love my new Sony large screen radio! The sound and clarity are fantastic, and it’s such a great upgrade. What really made the experience outstanding was the service I received at Best Buy. From start to finish, everything was smooth and professional. The installer deserves special recognition—he was patient, kind, and incredibly professional throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable with how it all worked before leaving. I truly appreciate the excellent service and will definitely return to Best Buy for future purchases.

The wireless Android Auto is really choppy and skips a lot. The receiver freezes repeatedly and disconnects, but not all the way. When it acts up I can not look at my phone screen for gps. The volume for Sirius radio doesn't work all the time if you are using Android Auto. The display is big, but the bevel is thick and makes the receiver looks dated.

There’s a lot to like about this head unit, but it does falls short in some areas…. It sounds great,! If you’re like me and exclusively listen to broadcast radio, streaming music services, podcasts, etc… you’ll be more than satisfied with the sound quality. If your that person who has a hard drive loaded with high-res audio files, you’ll want one of the “ES” models. The overall quality of the hardware is above average and the simplicity and intuitiveness of the user interface is elegant and refreshing. Having the large display in my older vehicle is awesome, and I appreciate it’s matte finish. That said, CarPlay text to speach doesn’t work. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the latest IOS and/or iPhone, or if it’s this head unit, but its a serious issue. Also, there’s no reason this unit shouldn’t have wired CarPlay (in addition to wireless). I’m Hopefull, Sony and/or Apple will correct the text to speech issue with a software/firmware update.

Fantastic radio! Wireless CarPlay works perfectly. Fast, responsive, and the display is very clear. Upgraded from AVX6000 as I'm getting older and need a bigger screen. Love the post-install adjustablility of the screen. Installed in a 2013 Mazda CX-5 and happy that the Maestro box is able to customize wipers and door locks through the head unit.

I bought this unit to replace my stock radio/media center in my 2018 Ram pickup. Installed, it was way cheaper and added more features than the stock unit which was estimated to be $2,000 for the unit alone! The screen was larger and it had everything that the original one had and added such things as a diagnostic code reader and ability to display digital or analog engine gauges on the screen as well as link to my phone for GPS mapping which I did not have before, Steering wheel controls were retained but the USB-C charging port did not function. But my very competent installer at the North Natomas store is researching that correction. And the screen is larger as well

Great quality , and many features I have not had a chance to explore them all. but I look forward to having fun with my new sounds. the only thing I wish is that the face would be removable for safety

It’s all good except for a little slow when switching to the back-up camera mode.
