Was planning to get the Bose but asked the salesperson at Best Buy what some of the feature differences are. The Bose was nice, but the Sony felt more comfortable on my head, the noise-canceling was about the same, and it has a cool feature where you can cup your ear and hear the flight attendant ask you what you want to drink. I paired with with my Kindle Fire HD tablet, and the movie paused when I did that. Very cool. They pack very compactly as well. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great Headphones. They are very comfortable. Only issue I had is that they are not great for the gym or working out because they are not sweat resistant. Otherwise the noise cancellation is awesome. Amazing sound quality.

I work in an office space where people are constantly talking near me. Sony's adaptive sound canceling tech in these headphones really does a remarkable job of eliminating all outside noise. I have taken several flights as well, and the plane noise is reduced by probably 95%. I can't recommend these enough. I feel like compared to the QC35 by Bose the only thing they have over these is the comfort. The Bose are more comfortable and lighter. These sound better in my opinion.

Sound is awesome and only enhanced by app. Fine tune sound to your liking. Fit is comfortable.

These headphones sound great and are the best active noise canceling headphones out right now. Active noise canceling blocks out a lot of almost all the noise on my 4 hour airplane ride that if my girlfriend wasn't on board, I would've missed out on directions on how customs operated in another country. The active feature of putting your hand over the right ear cup lets you ambient noise come in through the built in mic and honestly I never have to take it off if someone has to talk to me.

I compared these with the Bose QC 35ii's and thought the noise cancelling was on par with Bose but liked the sound quality on the Sony's better. (These also ended up being $299 when I bought also.) Just used these for a trip to Europe and worked well for flights and trains. Only drawback I can find is that the touch controls are a bit finicky and I'll bump them when taking the headphones off or I'll activate Siri accidentally. All in all I'm very happy with the burchase

Bought these as a gift for my husband. The most important factor for him was noise cancellation and after narrowing down my search to Sony or Bose headphones, I went with this set because I felt like the reviews were better. I can be sitting right next to him in a quiet room while he has these on listening to music, and he can’t hear a word I say. Perfect for airplanes, public places, or really anywhere you may have unwanted distractions.

These headphones are better than Bose. I used them to study for my undergrad. They provide a noiseless study environment almost anywhere you go. However, after owning them for almost 6 months I did not understand why the earmuffs began to hurt my head. I ran into a guy that said the oil build up on the earmuffs needed a cleaning with an alcohol wipe. Thank God because I was starting to feel foolish for buying something so expensive that I couldn't return.
