After reading several reviews on different headphones (Bose, Sony, B&O, and others) and then trying them out in store, I was floored by the sound quality of the Sony’s, and the noise cancelling ability. IMO the sound quality was just as good if not slightly better than Bose, and the noise cancelling was better than the others I tried. The sounds were crisp and clean and I couldn’t be happier!

I use these while traveling. My last flight was 6 hours. There was a baby who screamed in the row in front of me the entire time. I could seethe baby crying but all I could hear was the book I was listening to. I also use them a lot at night as sometimes my husbands cpap machine can get quite noisy. I can just have the ambient sound playing and absolute quiet.

They fit ear very well. Finger action to control volume and track is really . Noice cancelling is better if compared to most of of other same range earphones.

These Sony headphones offer a great noise cancelling experience when you are in a loud environment and need to concentrate. Also, the easily adjustable sound platform allows the user to create a surround sound experience, a sound experience coming from the front, or even one side or the other. The headphones easily pair with a smartphone to allow the user to customize their experience.

So far so good. Had it for little over a month. Cuts out the office clutter chatter. You know what I am talking about. Use it for riding mower lawn too. Muffles it enough that I don’t have blast the music over the motor like the EarPods. Save what’s left of my hearing. Obviously, doesn’t erase all the motor noise but it muffles it enough. I haven’t played much with the apps Sony has for the headphone. You would have to review others input on that. This or the Bose. I like both. Couldn’t really tell you why I picked these over the Bose. Almost flipped a coin. That hard for me to choose.

I went into the store looking for he beat headphones to drown out my husband’s loud snoring. I asked the sales associate which ones would work best and they showed me a few pairs this one works the best the active noise cancelling is good but doesn’t work 100% but if you put some rain sounds or wAves the snoring is definitely not heard they are sleek comfortable and I really love them.

Great sound and fantastic noise canceling ability. I only give it 4 stars because I think it could have just a little more bass. Battery life is great as well.

Headphones sounds great. First time buyer of such expensive headphones . Lucky better sound quality compare to bose QC35 II. App is useful to set up sound to your liking . Love the feature to put palm on right ear cup to easily interact with others. Little on the heavy side compare to Bose QC II . Can not connect with two devices at the same time like Bose or Dr. Dre. I can use them only for 30 mins before my ear starts burning. No such issue with Bose QC II. Reason for me to choose these over bose. Best noise cancellation, app support, better sound quality, gestures suppot on right ear cup.

I am a med student and I was looking for noise cancelling headphones, so that I could focus better. I do a lot of research before buying anything and sony is supposed to have the best noise cancelling system and it fulfilled expectations! I also use them whenever I travel and I do not hear anything but my music when I am in the plane.

I got these to replace my Sony XB950N1. Those were a cheaper model with noise cancelling and "extra bass". Ultimately, the build quality on the 950's were not to my liking. These, on the other hand, are fantastic. The feel when they're on is very comfortable. The sound is much better than I expected. And build is sturdy and flexible (I don't think these will break as easily as the plastic on the 950s). Overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I wish these had the USB-C charging but I know that's on the M3 models and beggars can't be choosers, right?

I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I do appreciate good audio. I compared these to the Bose QC35II as most folks do, and I went with the Sony's due to the sound - warmer, fuller, more energy. Don't get me wrong, the Bose sound great, too, and have features like easily switching between paired devices - but the Bose sound was kind of flat and lifeless. Unfortunately, the clamping pressure of the Sony's was sufficient to cause me a headache after just 10-15 minutes, so I had to return them. Just pre-ordered the Sony WH-1000MX3's, hope they are more comfortable.

Great job in creating a great sound especially with the bass. Tried others that cost more, but these came out ahead. Very very happy with this purchase!
