The best ANC Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a frequent traveler that needed a new pair of ANC headphones. I spend a significant amount of time on planes and also in noisy coffee shops while on the road. I tried these Sony's, the Bose QC35's and Beats Studio 3's. For me, the Sony's were the clear winner as they provided the most well balanced sound with nice tight bass and the most open sound stage of the 3. Add to that the best battery life and for me, the most comfort. The Beats were a little too tight, which provided some discomfort over longer listening sessions and the sound quality was not as good. They still sounded nice, but just not as clear. However, the Apple W1 chip is great if you need long range connection. If using in my home, I could leave my phone on one end of the house and walk anywhere inside and never lose connection. With the Sony's and Bose, I would start to lose connection within about 30 feet. You can prioritize connection over sound quality in the Sony headphone app if you need longer range, but for me I prefer prioritizing sound as it supports better codecs. I found the Bose sound the least satisfying, which was surprising as I normally like how Bose products sound. In regards to ANC, all of these headphones perform well. The Beats provided the least amount of noise cancellation, but truthfully, they provided more than enough on the plane and in the other environments I use them in. The Bose provided the most noise cancellation, but they made me feel like my ears were plugged. It was a strange sensation that actually caused some light dizziness. The Sony's provided the best experience here. Better ANC than the Beats without the side effects of the Bose. These are all great headphones and you probably can't go wrong with any of them. However, for my needs and to my ears, the Sony WH1000XM2's were the runaway winner!

Execllent listening
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I go through headphones like crazy until I find a pair that's just right. My favorites before this were a pair of $400 Sennheisers that finally became too old to be viable any more. So in my search for new a new pair I updated all the way. The bluetooth is consistently reliable, they're comfortable , they sound great and the touch controls on the earpiece are a feature that I didn't even know I wanted, but now I love. Can't recommend these enough.

Very good noise canceling headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like Sony’s WH-1000XM2 headphones. They have performed as advertised and work with Sony’s headphone connect app. I downloaded the app and did not have any problems connecting to or using any of the features it offers to customize your listening experience. Your probably not going to find any better NC headphones at it’s MSRP of $349. In my opinion that is too much to pay for any set of headphones but after a lot of research I decided to get them. I made myself feel a little better by waiting until Black Friday and got them for $299. They will eventually go for less but you’ll have to wait awhile before they do. So do your research and grab a set when they’re on sale and you’ll be happy!

Solid noise reduction but pricey
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.List price is expensive though these are top quality in noise reduction, holding a charge, audio quality, and comfort. They do get warm and damp over the ears for longer wearing periods. Nice hard shell travelling case is included. Best Buy sales person was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

Not perfect but best NC headphones out now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the best noise canceling headphones out right now. I’ve tried others like the new Beats Studio3 and Bose QC 35 II, and these sound the best overall and have the best noise canceling. When the noise canceling is on, this thing sounds really good and has just enough bass. You can hear all the detail in the music and block out the outer noise. There’s a Sony companion app for these headphones that let you customize the noise canceling and EQ levels. I use these headphones mostly in the gym and when I workout I feel like I’m in my own little world. No distractions. It’s also great for long travels with noisy kids or crying babies. Disclaimer: if your kids are dying, you won’t hear them crying for help because the noise canceling works so well when listening to your media.

A Terrific Headphone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony headphone was on sale for $300 (normally $350). It has audiophile sound and very good noise cancellation. Compared to the Bose QC35 II, the Sony has better fidelity and a smidgen less noise cancellation than the Bose. The battery lasts quite a while, a claimed 30 hours and it seems to be pretty accurate, better than most other headphones which only lasts 10-20 hours. The BlueTooth is pretty finicky. You have to turn on the headphones last otherwise it may have some difiiculty connecting. Turning it on last solved that problem. The earpads are used as controllers themselves. Swiping in different directions will skip songs, change tracks and adjust volume. Note that if you use the wired connection, these features are lost. The headset is extremely comfortable for long term wear. The only concern is that there are reports where the headband cracks which renders the set useless, Sony claims that it was due to a defective batch so that remains to be seen. The other nitpick is that the hard shelled case is pretty tight and small, with no room for accessories.

IMO this headphone is better than the 1000x
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Bose qc35 but it was lacking bass. I wanted the Xb950 but it lacks clarity. So it came down to the 1000xm2. The Sony guy said that the 1000x is much better and has app support. He knew nothing about these headphones. I bought what he recommended but the 1000x doesn’t have app support. I returned them and got these 1000xm2. These have very nice noises canceling and clear vocals the bass was also adjustable. Comfort isn’t as good as Bose but hopefully over time it will be better as the bands break in. Overall a very good purchase and would make a great gift for any age.

Perfect for my needs, outstanding headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WH1000XM2 wireless headphones combine outstanding acoustics with comfort and excellent noise cancelling capability. They have many convenient features, some controlled by buttons and some by swiping your hand across the right side earpiece. Sony also has a phone app so you make adjustments to sound using the app. Battery life has been really good based on many hours of playtime between charges. They are easy enough to travel with even though they are obviously much larger than wireless earbuds, and some other headphones. These really meet my needs and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

As Good as "The Best"....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased these phones after comparing them with the "other" (often known as "the best") well-known top of the line noise cancelling phones. We use them with our phones, laptop, and the TV, and I am especially pleased with the overall sound stage of the Sony headphones. Separation is excellent, with no overlap from side to side, and full, concise sound from top to bottom in each channel. They are easy to use; the noise cancelling feature is efficient and presents no annoyance when using in either high or low noise areas. I have been more than happy with the headphones! One minor "distraction" is the touch feature on the ear cup; until you get used to it, it can be bothersome when you adjust the phones slightly and the track skips forward or backward. However, I got used to this feature, and know how to avoid advancing the track, so no big deal. They are light, comfortable, and attractive. And another note: we have since purchased a set of "the best" brand headphones in a promotional sale, and we find those to be impressive as well, but NOT better than the Sony's. That's why the Sony phones are absolutely as good as "the best".... I certainly recommend anyone looking for an excellent set of noise cancelling cans to consider the Sony 1000XM2's before buying.

Great ANC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great ANC headphones. The sound on these are on the warm side but the bass overpowered some of the instruments and vocals a little. These are good for someone that wants more bass than the Sennheiser PXC 550 or B&W PX. I like the audio controls on the right ear up that allows you to skip/reverse and control the volume. Although I found it to be a little sensitive. When I tried to skip to the next song, it ended up raising the volume. So there’s some training needed to swipe correctly. I am not a big fan of putting my hand onto the right ear cup so I can hear the ambient noise or if someone is talking to me. In a way, I think it’s rude to have the headphones on when someone is talking to you. My natural motion is to take them off. These are on the lighter side as to not weigh down on top of your head. The materials used are pretty comfy and they fold into a smaller size for travel.

Great headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very impressed with the noise canceling feature. Touch controls work way better than expected. I don’t get accidental taps nearly as often as I expected, and it’s way more accurate than I expected. The sound quality is great and is very clear and crisp throughout the frequency range. They are very comfortable to wear for hours. I wore them for almost the entirety of a 9 hour car ride. Only thing is they can get a tad bit warm around your ears. Battery life is also very impressive. Overall, they’re great headphones, and are actually worth it a good bit.

Great Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb noise cancelling phones and excellent sound quality, very easy to set up with Bluetooth adapter. Very comfortable to wear and the battery life is superb. The only thing I wish is that they would make the buttons easier to feel and see. At night (which is mainly when we use these for watching TV without disturbing my spouse) it is difficult to feel the buttons to turn them on and off. Other than that these are the best headphones we have ever had. The ability to cancel the noise reduction by simply holding your hand over the ear phone is also a great feature.

Best I've owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I traded some beats in that I was told compared to these but the Beats didn't even come close. The sound on these is very good and there is a nice sound app you can download that helps fine tune them more. The noise canceling feature works great. Functions perfectly with my LGV20 and I figure most Android phones also. The beats didn't support all android functions while listening to music on an Android such as skipping to next song. There are only two buttons, the power and noise cancelling. The other function are just touch or swipe the right side. They are very clean looking. The NFC function ia nice so you just get it close enough and the earphones automatically connect. I'm not sure the maximum time between charges as I have only had it go for at least 18 hours without a charge. It says up to 30 hours. They are very comfortable and aren't to heavy. One nice feature if you are using the noise cancelling feature and you need to hear something or someone you can cover the right earphone with the palm of your hand and then can hear things without removing the earphones. I am more than happy with these and now happy the Beats didn't have the skip function on music for the Android or I would have never known how nice and how much better these are.

Feature Packed Noise Canceling Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Offers a lot of features. Has multiple codecs to for the best audio quality over Bluetooth. Can adjust the EQ sound settings. Can adjust the level of noise canceling. Build is good however ear cups may be small or shallow for some ears. Sound is great but not as bass heavy as some other headphones. Noise canceling is on par with Bose, however you can hear the noise canceling in the background when not playing music. Touch controls have not been an issue and have been responsive. Overall a great noise canceling headphones.

Great audio quality needs MORE volume
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I watched a ton of online reviews for the best N/C bluetooth headphones and pretty much everyone has recomended these and the Bose QC35's. I picked these up and they have great audio quality and a surprising amount of bass. My only 3 complaints are: 1. The volume should go a higher. I really like to blast my music and these do not seem to get as high as id like. 2. You can only have these paired to 1 device at a time which is pretty annoying. This may not bother most people but for those with multiple devices it is a pain to unpair and repair when using different device. 3. Still not using USB type C for charging which in 2017 is pretty dumb. (Yes I know all headphones are still stuck in 2015 when it comes to charging but when your paying close to $400 they should be future proof.

awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took all of 2 days in a new office location with the boss in the same room for me to spend the money on these. Noise canceling works awesome. In the same room with 5 others pounding on keyboards, tapping on desks, reading emails outloud, taking calls on speakerphone... well you get the idea... Power on, bluetooth connected to phone.. and booom... i'm in my own little world of peace and tranquility. The features are great, I love having the touch/swipe ear cup... so easy to skip to the next song, or change volume or pause. Ambient noise is handy for when I want to keep listening to music or podcast, but yet still hear some of conversation going on in the room, it will still cut some of the fan and other noises in the room, but yet still let voices come through. I would rate sound quality great for general listening, but these aren't as flat, and not as crisp on the highs as my audio technica's ath-m50x that I use for recording in my studio, but that's not what I bought these for. If you need to tune out annoying people.. or anything else, just buy these, you wont regret it.

Solid performance Overall
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I’ve been on a long hunt for wireless noise cancelling headphones I ended up settling with these. The app is easy to use and setup your headphones The headphones themselves perform very well. I took a trip just the other day and they cancelled out the noise Fairly well, but I don’t have a true comparison basis. Apple ear buds and other brand ear buds are all that I had prior. I didn’t read the directions well enough so it’s my own fault as to how to operate the touch panel on the side. Overall, sound quality is great, in my opinion, it did the job and was definitely more comfortable than my previous ear buds and or headphones Use would be for watching apple tv in bed (wife wants to kill me with tv volume) and travel
