I am loving the sound of these headphones. I am relistening to music I have had for years, and I am hearing details in the music that I never heard before. The output on these things is awesome. The bass and treble seem well balanced, They are comfortable even with my glasses on, and they work great for music software on my computer. There is a lag when using Bluetooth mode on the Mac, so be sure to use the included audio cable if you are playing live music.

For an extensive review I would check out any of the number of articles and videos. For the summary I would say the following: Rival-best noise cancelling technology on the market Extremely comfortable Long battery life Great control gestures The only nit-pick thing I can say is that sometimes I get a noticeable delay in audio, and they released an updated version less than a year after this purchase. Go for the version 3's.

The sound is great and the isolation is some of the best I have heard along with the noise canceling. However, they do not get loud enough for my taste and the biggest pain about them for how much you spend on them is that they do no hook up to a SONY PS4. The charge is great on these things though and they are super comfortable. If you watch a lot of YouTube then you will have to watch YouTube directly from the website and not the app or else you will experience latency issues caused by the app itself. Not these headphones.

The sound seemed more real than the Bose QC35 that I compared them with at Best Buy. The sound cancellation seemed similar to the Bose. I liked the sound control by swiping on the exterior of the headphones. The only negative is that the sound cancellation turns off if you are not connected to an audio source, so, you can't walk around with them for use as a noise reduction device without being connected to your phone or other device.

The SONY 1000 M2 wireless headphones are perfect in sound quality and noise cancelling; even blocks the sounds of a wailing child on an airplane recently that was sitting next to me. The headphone charge also lasted a 2 1/2 hour plane flight. The comfort level of the headphones was also sufficient so after using them I did not feel like my head or ears were squeezed. I recommend these over other higher rated headphones

Got these on black Friday. I have used them since. Sound quality and noise cancelling is out of this world. I have taken them on my longest travel flights ie Boston to Beijing that's a direct flight of 16 hrs and connect to Hong Kong another 3hrs and I arrive to my destination with about 15% of battery life. Go figure who is King of comfortable headset.

I’ve had a pair of Audio Technica, over ear studio headphones for years. It was time for an upgrade and was it a doozy. The sound quality is unrivaled and the adaptive noise cancelling is astounding. Plus they are so comfortable (they don’t even bother my industrial piercing at all) even for very long periods of wear. Battery life is incomparable. Used them almost daily for two weeks without charging.

Sony has done it again with Exceptional sound quality coupled with Noise Cancelation and Ambient Sound that easily surpasses what Beats By Dre can offer (deep bass)

The price was a bit tough to swallow, but I’m glad I got them. I use them for hours at a time editing video, and they’re comfortable the whole time. The battery lasts for longer than any other electronic device I have! I charge them weekly instead of daily. The sound quality is insanely great. I’d rather watch Netflix on my computer with these headphones than on my TV! Great buy! Super happy!

As weird as it sounds, these are excellent to an extent. I use 1% because the problem I have with it is strictly the efficacy of these headphones, so I’ll go ahead and state my opinion which is the 1%. I dislike fancy features. I know what you’re thinking; it sounds silly, and for someone who just spent a lot of money on headphones, I guess You’re probably thinking I’m a dunce. The reason I say this is because sliding your hand on the right side to skip and turn the volume up and down and all that seems COOL and HIGHTECH, but I’m not really into it. It doesn’t hurt me in anyway and isn’t a big deal, but it definitely stinks when you are trying to do something fast and it takes a hot minute just because you wanted to add a cool “futuristic” addition. Again, it’s don’t let that turn you away, it’s just my drawn out opinion. Another thing is the Sound canceling and ambient sound buttons. It stops whatever you are listening to for a good 2-4 seconds when you change these settings. Other than that.... The BATTERY IS AMAZING!!!! SOUND WUALITY IS AMAZING!!! SOUND CANCELING IS AMAZING!!!!! I was going back between the Q35 and these and I think I made the best choice with these by far. I returned the Sony EXTRA BASS headphones to these because these are SO nice. Go to a store and TRY THEM ON! You never know what you like till you are trying them on. Thanks for reading :-)

These headphones have great features, are comfy, and have a great sound quality. They are easy to set up and use.

I absolutely love these headphones. I can clean the house, talk on the phone and enjoy my music all while blocking out my nagging wife!! Best and most expensive I've owned. Was tempted to purchase the Bose as the felt more comfortable around my ears! This was the better choice. The only thing I would change or slightly modify is the touch sensor on the right earphone, I wish there were a braille-like dots to let the user know which way is up, down skip or pause.

I switched to these from the Beats Studios. Great switch. These last a long time and have a much better build quality than the aforementioned Beats Studios

You can turn off the noise cancelling feature, buy why would you. After a long day, put these on and it's like being deaf. You only hear want you want to hear when you connect to a bluetooth device. My wife likes them for mowing the yard. The controls are just finger swipes on the side, that can take practice but nice not to have ugly buttons.

They are very nice sounding headphone, bass is decent and very crisp sound. It has some amazing features not found in any competition. I mainly needed it for casual tv viewing and gaming while my 8month son is sleeping, and they are more than what I needed it for.

These headphones are the best head phones I've ever had. The sound is noticeable superior. The battery life is fantastic. They are also very comfortable. I have had no problems using these and connecting using bluetooth to many devices including my phone, watch, ps4, and many other devices. The $199 that I paid was just the icing on the cake.

I was in the market for some new NC headphones mostly for business trips on planes and light stuff around the house. It was between the Bose QC 35 II and these Sony 1000x M2. The Bose felt better because the ear area is larger and the padding is a little better and more breathable. But with all the modern features and better NC, the Sony's were the easy pick for me. I can customize the sounds, and it can be adjusted for compression with a smart system that will analyze the area or pressure for maximum NC. The sound is also better than the Bose. Hope this review helped!

Pros: The sound quality is amazing. The mids and highs compliment the bass beautifully. It's not muddied up by over-doing the bass. You can use the Sony Connect app via your phone to change the EQ settings to your liking. Cons: Non-replaceable battery. I'm sure this will last a good 1-2 years but it really is an inconvenience not to give your consumers the option to replace the battery themselves. The app can be janky at times. I've had to customize the headphones with the app to make it sound the way I want it to sound AND turn off the annoying ambient control alerts. Overall thoughts: The only reason I got this is because Best Buy managed to have a sale to drop $50 off the price. These are a very expensive pair of BT headphones but they're so worth it. I found myself having them on my head or around my neck almost every day. The noise canceling along with great audio (sounds great wired and wireless) makes this one of the best pair of wireless cans I've ever owned.

Sound quality is amazing. Extremely comfortable. I listen to them a few hours a day and the battery life lasted me nearly 3 weeks. I compared these to the Bose alternative. I found that the Bose were more comfortable to wear but they felt like they made a lot of pressure (airplane like feeling). I think the sound quality is better on these Sonys though.

Really like these headphones. Two main features are standouts compared to my Bose QC25. First, I love that these are wireless. No more getting tangled up with airplane seatbelts! I know the new Bose QC35's are wireless now also, but Bose's noise cancelling doesn't work well with me. So second standout feature is the NC on the 1000x mk11. Bose made my ears feel like they were stuck in a vacuum and were a bit nauseating. Not the Sony's. Noise free audio without the sucking my brains out feeling.
