If you are willing to spend the extra $, you can't go wrong with these. I previously had the beats on ear wired headphones. And these Sony ones are much better in comfort and sound. The beats had a little more bass but that is about it. I have had these about a year and use them all the time.

These headphones sound great and they're very comfortable. Would get 5 stars but the headphone jack is recessed, making it so most headphone cables won't fit.

These headphones are amazing, the sound and noise cancellation technology is great. I really muffs outside sound where you can enjoy your music or silence. One of the coolest thing is the Ambient Sound, where you cup the right touch panel and you can hear your surrounding environment noise because the Mic gets activated and plays the noise through the speakers therefore, you would have to pop one ear out when some speaks with you. I also like the headphone connect app, it allows you customize equalizer and it makes the music/video experience sound better. The build quality is stellar it does not feel cheap and the padding for over the ear is soft and can wear for long duration. The reason it did not get 5 stars: price, lack of app availability and eyeglasses pinch. Starting with lack of app availability; it is only available on Mobile OS. I primarily connect these headphones to my desktop or laptop computer work or personal. However, I can't download the app therefore, i don't get the cool equalizer configuration, which is disappointing because once you have experience that you want to continue experiencing. Unfortunately, it does not retain that setting on the headphones when connecting to other devices. Since, I wear glasses it does seem to pinch my frames to the side of my head. Over a long period of time it does seem to hurt. However, I have worn these headphones without glasses and I could wear these for hours. Also, you can get pretty hot with these headphones be wary in using it during hot days. As for the price, it just didn't seem justified to pay close to $400 (Unit price + 2 yr warranty + taxes) especially, when you play with the sound settings on the app and you can't get it on non Mobile OS. I had to return these headphones and I would have kept them is only they had the app on multiple types of Operating Systems.

Check the summary. I literally watched hours of reviews of these. the Bose equivalent and other runners up. The Sony's and the Bose are close but the bass response of the Sony's edges the Bose out for me. Not to mention the Sony's occasionally and actually go on sale from time to time. It is usually a 50$ discount but that really pushes these over the edge in that close race. I own two pair of these and use them every day. I have owned them for two years now. I use one at my job were it is very loud just for the noise canceling and I have a set at home that are not all sweaty. I have a set of these on my head for at least 10 hours a day and they stay comfortable all day and that is close to a miracle if you have experience with a lot of head phones you know what I mean. I literally suggest these to anyone and everyone who would listen to me. Just do yourself a favor and buy a pair of these or the latest model. Your ears and bank account will thank you.

I was looking for a comfortable pair of headphones. These fit the bill. Very comfortable and the wireless was a plus. Easy to sync via bluetooth. If you have a non bluetooth device it comes with wire. The noise cancelling is great. Also it comes with a nice protective case. Very happy with these.

Great Noise Canceling & Sound, Sensitive Mic

I grabbed a pair of these headphones since I am on planes regularly for work and was tired of regular earbuds/headphones that didn't ever keep out enough sound. After some tough decision making between these, Sennheisers, Bose, etc. I ultimately chose the Sony headphones. For the money they are hard to beat. The sound is much better than the Bose (No Highs, No Lows, that's Bose!) but more than that the noise cancelling seemed better at first. I also appreciate the touch controls on the right side and ability to temporarily allow noise say if you're answering someone or trying to hear something but don't want to pause audio (on a call even). My major complaints after using them for a prolonged period are: 1) The earcups get relatively warm. If you're going to wear for hours you'll likely need a break after a bit. 2) The mic is a bit sensitive, especially on planes. It's pretty frustrating since the air vents above seats tend to, if not aimed completely away from you (defeating the purpose) pick up the blowing and it is very annoying. I borrowed a co-worker's Bose and didn't notice the same issue. I've used these for calls a few times, and the mics are sensitive then too picking up any background noise or road noise with too much clarity to recipients on the other end. I suppose that's the purpose for it to be sensitive enough to help filter noise, but just something to be aware of. Overall I think I'd still grab the Sony set again (especially if they are on sale). I use them as my go-to headphones for listening to new music and if I really want to pick up lyrics/enjoy dynamic sounds, low end, etc. They're very good and have definitely been much better than my standard JBL or Klipsch headphones/earbuds for traveling.

    Best headphones I've owned

I decided that I'm at a point in my life that I could own a nice set of headphones. I'm also traveling more than I have in the past, and a good set of noise cancelling headphones would cut some of the unpleasant experience of commercial flight down a bit. I read reviews, which seems to lean more to the Sony models over the Bose. My wife received a pair of the Bose as a present, so we've been doing a little compare and contrast. The Bose is superior in software - pairing the Bose to multiple phones is way easier than the Sony, and the Sony app can be fussy in its attempts to tune your headphones to your environment. But the Sony models beat the Bose phones in noise-cancelling and overall sound. The Sony have a richer, fuller sound than the Bose, and the noise cancelling is top notch. The Sony also beats the Bose in battery life. I've been hit and miss with Sony over the years, but they are hitting all cylinders with these headphones.

These headphones are very comfortable to wear for long term use. Although not as comfortable as the BOSE QC35. To me, the noise cancelling wasn't as good as the BOSE either. It's a very close call... But it is packed with features like ambient noise, pop lacing your palm on the right earcup to start listening people around you. And features to control your music.

These are my 4th noise cancelling headphones (sennheiser, & audio technica). These are light years beyond those. I literally was in complete silence on a recent flight. The sound quality is excellent - and with the app I can change the equalizer settings. Also, the adaptive sound control means I can keep these on while walking through the airport and not miss announcements. I’ve got no real negatives to mention & are loving these! Worth the price!

I was looking last year at another pair of wireless noise cancelling headphones and then I was at Best Buy I decided to try them on. I loved the sound but decided to wait. I then saw the ad for what they did and since we fly ever so often I thought I would check them out again. I love the features of these phones that you can block out or add noise as needed. The app to make adjustments to the sound works awesome and the 30 hour battery is great but what it all comes down to is sound and they sound amazing. They have a very open and spacious sound for headphones and the bass is very clean, just have to watch which app you use and don't over power the bass. I would definitely recommend these for those who love music and want wireless, noise cancelling headphones.

I have had numerous noise cancelling headphones - Bose, Parrot most recently. These are the most comfortable and far superior in sound quality to the Bose. The are light on your head, easy to charge - and the complete carrying case fits nicely in a briefcase or backpack.

These are the best bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. They feel solidily built and look great. I wear them mostly when I'm at the gym for over an hour with no discomfort. The battery life is exceptional. I charge it about once every two weeks and use them daily.

Nice features..Superior noise canceling technology, Very comfortable to wear decent highs and lows.cons: the Bluetooth range could be better...wish they were much louder.. don’t be mistaken the sound lvl is Gud.. but for the price tag.. I wanted the option to volume up to ear blustering sounds sometimes you just want to get lost in the sound lol.. but I would recommend to anyone looking to purchase nc headphones
