I owned a previous Sony receiver for 20 years and decided it was time to upgrade & buy a new receiver. I bought this Sony and am very satisfied by the sound the device creates when connected to 7 speakers in my family room. This receiver delivers great sounds from my tv, especially from the Sony subwoofer, as well as, with the other speakers. I believe Sony makes great products at a great price that last a long time. It was worth the cost.

Great price for a decent receiver that can handle 4k. The only feature it's missing is 3D (I never used that anyway). Pairs perfectly with my Sony TV and Sony 4K Blu ray player.

Bought this instead of a sound bar to replace an old Sony 5.1-ch Receiver. I needed HDMI hook ups and 4K pass through. I was already wired for 7.1 channels (I need an additional sub now I guess). I was impressed with the sound that comes from this unit, it's so clean and crisp. The USB hook up is a nice feature, I only wish it could play flac files. Oh and It doesn't get half as hot as my old Sony. Also the included FM antenna is a plus.

Bought this to replace another Sony 7.1 Surround system as I have recently purchased a Vizio 4K TV and wanted to get my Amazon Fire HD, Blue Ray, Cable, and Wii U all connected with the best possible video. This system was super easy to set up, so far the passthru is working flawlessly, and the bonus Bluetooth connectivity (along with an Amazon Echo Dot) makes for a really awesome whole room sound system! Can't go wrong with a Sony.

I bought this receiver to compliment the new Sony Ultra 4K HD TV and DVD that I purchased. It was easy to set up. Also it automatically paired with the other Sony products.

For 200 bucks, it's a very good receiver. Good power, clear sound, plus HDMI and Bluetooth.

This was purchased for my husband as a replacement for an older model Sony receiver that was still functioning properly, but he wanted more wattage and more features that the STR-DH770 offered. This model has enhanced our entertainment system with supreme sound and the Bluetooth capability is an added plus. it sounds like we are in the movie theater. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for top notch surround sound.

First off I have to say that this receiver sounds really good. The highs are crisp and the bass is low. For the price I don't think you could find a better receiver.

Removed my old 3d Sony receiver and installed this bad boy. The new receiver plugged right in and was easy to get all my settings back with the built in sound setup.

I had a Pioneer 7.2 channel system for my surround sound in the living room. I kept having to reset the reciever for a "Amp Overheat". I looked into all the products and found that this Sony fit the bill. The price was incrediable and it compaired to the $500.00 range recievers for 1/2 the price. I works for what I needed it to do. Still kind of early to give it any kind of longevity awards but as of right now. 5 stars.

I bought this to replace a very old low end receiver for our living room TV. It needed to handle the cable, our streaming device and my wife’s karaoke. This receiver is more than capable, it is perfect for the job. It was very easy to configure right out of the box and is much easier for my wife and kids to use than my high-end receiver in our entertainment/movie room. I would buy this again.

Got a good deal on this receiver. Setup was easy, documentation was excellent, and so far, the performance has been great. Synced up nicely with my Sony 4K TV.

This Sony home theatre system was easy to set up and works great. The sound quality is nice. The system was very reasonably priced and was in stock.

This Somy 7.2 receiver out performes any all-in-one complete surround sound system that I ever heard. Paired with quality speakers and sub(s), it sounds fantastic! It's Bluetooth capability is nice to pair with my phone for music. I can make the pictures on my walls rattle! If you're looking for a great sounding surround system without breaking the bank, I would highly recommend this unit.

love this receiver. One of my favorite functions is that I am able to stream music via Bluetooth. I'm also able to use it with my home theatre system
