This receiver is excellent. It receives 4K, it works flawlessly. The Bluetooth connectivity is stable even from far and connection occurs almost instantaneously (even when it is on sleep mode: it will turn on automatically!). Pretty bulky, but solid. The sound is very warm (on my Klipsch Reference 5.1 system, and that is a good thing, because the sound of that speakers set is very bright).

This is my second Sony receiver and this model is replacing one that was not 4K comparable. This receiver is great and it doesn’t break the bank

Hard to hook up the wires and does not come with a sub. That’s why it’s 4.... sound is great and once you get it hooked it it’s easy to set up

With everything going uhd 4K as the cream of the crop, this pass through and internal processing achieve the satifixation you will be looking for.

I haven't worked out all the bell and whistles this receiver has to offer, but I'm impressed by the sound and number of connections it offers.

I caught this on sale at Best Buy and grabbed it. Much more power than I need but more is better, right? Sound is wonderful and picture is great.

This was recommended by a Best Buy associate. It is a good quality yet inexpensive receiver. I was looking to replace an older model I had that did not have the HDMI inputs and outputs. I was able to upgrade to 7.2 surround and simplify the installation. I also enjoy the Bluetooth connectivity as this truly simplifies connecting to auxiliary music devices.

They don't advertise the fact this receiver can handle HDR well. I had to read a few reviews and even went to that other stores site to read more reviews to determine it worked with HDR. Well I'm telling you, it works and it works well. I have mine set up with a 5.1 setup, but it can do 7.2. The power of it is overkill for what I need but the price point is right, for what I needed.

Sony system is very easy to use and is great for 7.2 setup. Also love the ability to connect to Iphone and control system from anywhere in home.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. It was the perfect choice for the right price to replace his old amplifier thaty had given up the ghost.

I bought this amp, as I have it hooked up to my old PS# and SONY bravia. everything interacts perfectly and shuts off the whole system at once.

I bought this because of a great sale that was going on. Overall, I was happy with the AVR, but I think this product was designed to be TOO simple. I didn't have the options to really tweak with it and tune it to my liking. Which, eventually led to me returning the product. I would recommend this product for someone looking for a good sounding plug and play receiver.

The simple setup with the included mic really does work easily. Supports HDCP2.2 so def the way to go when pairing with other newer hardware

We purchased the Sony STR-DH770 receiver to replace a very old Onkyo that still worked but we wanted one with HDMI features. Given that we are senior citizens and not always savvy to the newer technology, the Sony was relatively easy to set up for us. The sound is great and it paired with the cable remote with no problem. For the price, it's definitely a Best Buy!

I purchased this as an upgrade from my old Harmon Kardon receiver. I am using the same 10 year old JBL speakers but the sound is drastically better. I did have to purchase a new 4K HDMI cable for it to work, but I expected that based on other reviews. Best Buy had some very affordable 4K HDMI options available to order. I am very happy with the purchase.
