I was looking for a home theater receiver with more power than the Sony I have had for the last few years. It also had to be 4K compatible.

Works perfect. Hdmi in and out is great. All easy hook up and set up. Only issue is for whatever reason this Sony model isn't recognized by Direct TVs remote control programing. So I have to use 2 remotes at all times. Maybe eventually it will make the list. Till then, that's an irritating draw back. I would gave picked a different model had I known in advance.

We bought this for our son for Christmas for his room, very Satisfied, excellent sound, lots of options, perfect for his first Stereo

Sony products are great - easy to use and a great value for the money! 7.2 x 145W exceeds the limits needed for most listening needs!

This unit is worth the $, it has definitely change they way our system sounds. There are a few things I still need to learn about it

Bought this receiver to add surround sound to tv. Sound was great and receiver was easy to setup and use. Because the receiver was in a cabinet that was closed it tended to shut off due to heat. The product itself worked great but had to return because I wanted a product that would have stayed in the cabinet without being open. Went with a soundbar instead.

Pretty nice system. Missing the outlet on the back that our old stereo had to plug in other auxiliaries like a CD player or LP.

I love this item it's great for all you're surround sound needs and especially for the price. Sony always has quality products.

Good starter receiver. Slightly confusing setup. The ARC connection wasn’t working at first then randomly the next day just worked fine. The sound it makes turning on and off makes it sound kinda cheap. It goes into standby when nothing is playing even if the tv is in use and you are just looking for something to play. Might just be a misconfiguration on my part though. Also Sony’s app for it kind sucks. Over all it’s an awesome item especially for the price. Works great. Speakers sound awesome.

Started buying the UHD videos since our TV is a 4K unit. Then realized that the Blu ray and our 15year old receiver wouldn't work well either so off to Best Buy I went. Once installed the difference was amazing. The sound is so much better than the old one and very easy to calibrate.

I bought this receiver to replace a 20 year old one that I was having issues with. While I have not used all the features on the it so far it has been great. The sound is clear and my wife likes the blue tooth feature on it so she can play music from her phone. I highly recommend if you in the market for a receiver that just might be what you want..

This is the first receiver that I have bought in over 10 years. It was time for an upgrade so that I could finally hook up all my media devices via the 4 hdmi ports. It was easy to set up, and the supplied microphone was easy to use to calibrate the speakers to my listening position. Overall, I am very happy with this receiver for the price!

works and sound great Easy to connect , and very powerful

This receiver was fairly easy to setup and sounds great. I had a little complication with the calibration with the back pair of speakers in a 5.1 configuration initially but worked through that. I love the fact that the receiver will turn on/off automatically from my DirecTV remote. Would definitely recommend. I found the price was also great.

I know there is a lot of new technology out there with some pretty good sound and features. But for the price, this runs my ceiling speakers and in wall sub to perfection. Easy to set-up and use. It is incorporated with my harmony home ultimate remote system. I bought this for my 4K TV and content to run thru... there have not been any issues so far.

I bought this on sale before the holidays and went on vacation until this week. I finally get to open the box and have it hooked up from my new Samsung 4K TV and this AV receiver was easy to set up. Lots of HDMI inputs for all my gears. YPAO helps me set up the optimal sound in my entertainment room. Overall very please with this purchase.

I am not overwhelmed by the awesomeness of this product. However, for the price, It is functioning well. I have no complaints.

Sound is excellent with this receiver. Easy on-screen setup. Wish there was a few more options on sound fields, but I can't complain. 4k content works perfect. I would recommend getting some 2.0 HDMI cables for connections. That'll improve overall picture quality. Make sure if your using 4k device you have video set to enhanced. Worth the money.

Connected my Record player to this receiver. Great sound. I can still connect surround sound. It’s gonna sound even better.
