I bought this Sony A/V stereo home theater receiver to use with my recently purchased Sony 50 inch television. The Sony A/V receiver was easy to install. It was very compatible with the new Sony television. The included microphone was easy to use when determining the right sound levels for the room.

Excellent for 5.1/5.2 or 7.1/7.2 surround sound. Mellow tone, superior surround, and capable of room shaking bass. Great HDMI support and good RCA support, but you cannot mix formats for input vs output. Setup is simple but but banana plugs for the speaker wife's since the terminals are too closely spaced.

This receiver is less money than others with 7.2 surround and similar power output, but provides a lot of bang for the buck. It doesn't have some features such as app streaming, but offers great sound and most of the features I cared about. (HDMI switching, bluetooth) It is also very simple to operate.

This is the definition of the perfect all around receiver. 200 bucks gets me this and allows me a ton of versatility to build my system over time. I'm a big Sony fan and this doesn't disappoint. The sound with movies in crisp and clean and music sounds elegant. This is paired with my Klipsch RP-160m's.

I one day had to replace my old one, wasn't getting enough out of it. now I can hear all the sounds around me.

Definitely will be buying more speakers for the receiver. Best one we have bought so far! Definitely hooked.

This receiver is fantastic! Easy to set up, very flexible with lots of inputs, plenty of power per channel and room to upgrade in the future. I am using this as a stereo receiver only and have my turntable hooked up to it, the sound is crisp clean and no distortion at all! You won't be dissapointed!

I can't complain about any of the little insignificant shortcomings of this SONY Reciever. For the price I love it. Great cost effective fast 4K Digital Sound to go with your 4K TV home theater upgrade. I will say that it powers my Klipsch Reference Towers GREAT! Plenty of power for medium size living rooms.

Very easy to use once it's set up. Provides plenty of inputs to ensure all of your devices are connected. Takes some time to tweak the settings but once you find the setting that works the best for you it's so simple to use. Have this set up with Harmon Kardon speakers and the sound is amazing.

Exceeded my expectations. The different settings provide excellent and clear sound. Would highly recommend

I've used this receiver daily since purchasing. Works and sounds great. Set up was much easier than my last surround sound system. No reason to spend several hundreds or even a thousand on a receiver. This is all you need. Great price. Now the question on longevity. Can't answer that. We'll have to wait and see.

I have been very happy with this Sony theater receiver giving me great sound through my Klipsch speakers.

Been tweaking/working with this receiver for 2 months now- still don't seem to be getting the best surround sound out of it, even after upgrading HDMI cables (and I'm far from a beginner at this).

Very satisfied, replace my 6 year old Yamaha, this Sony is easy set up, remote simple to work with, Bluetooth works great(iPhone 6s plus) the only reason 4star is., it doesn't have wifi but I new that before I purchased it. I recommend it for the price $$$ great sound, movies and value. sound awesome!!!

I bought this receiver to add surround sound for my PS4. It's very easy to setup. Everything is labeled in the back to add all of your equipment. I use it for Direct Tv receiver, Playstation 4, watch Netflix and movies on dvd. It sounds amazing.

Works great with my new HDR TV. Setup was easy and it was automatically recognized by my Harmony hub.

Love it the sound is crisp and easy to assemble. The best part is that it auto connects and turns on when I open my phone and use the YouTube tv app. It also does it for other apps so I don't have to even use the receiver remote I'm not tech savvy at all and I had no problems with installation
