We were looking for a really good receiver with a lot of high tech options, unfortunately they were all way too expensive. This one was a great price and does everything we need for it to do. Have had it for only about a month but so far we are very pleased with it.

Just as I expected. Really liked bluetooth. Easy setup. How it interfaces with TV.

A great upgrade to our old receiver. The price is also really cheap in comparison.

I PURCHASED THIS UNIT AFTER MY 20+ YEAR OLD RECEIVER WENT OUT AND QUIT WORKING. THE SOUND ON THIS UNIT IS AWESOME, WHEN I PLAY MY MUSIC IT SOUNDS LIKE THEY ARE PERFORMING RIGHT IN THE SAME ROOM. I PUT THIS UNIT IN MY GARAGE FOR MY 8 SPEAKER SYSTEM AND THE SPEAKERS SOUND BETTER THAN EVER. THE CLEARITY AND SOUND IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. I HOOKED UP MY 15 YEAR OLD CD CHANGER AND IT WORKS GREAT WITH THIS UNIT. I PURCHASED THE SONY ACTIVE SUBWOOFER TO GO WITH THIS UNIT. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE FAN OF SONY PRODUCTS AND THIS UNIT DOES NOT DISSAPOINT. THANKS SONY FOR ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT AND A BIG THANK YOU TO THE SALES ASSOCIATES AT THE BESTBUY STORE IN COUNTRYSIDE, IL I HAD ANOTHER GREAT IN-STORE EXPERIENCE. I have used Sony receivers for years. This was a nice upgrade so that I could pass thru to my new 4K tv. Installation was easy. The auto setup Mic that is included instantly made my speakers sound better since it took care of the settings. Very happy with my purchase.

Very happy with the Sony Receiver. Set-Up and Self-Calibration made it easy to dial in my Speakers and my Room. Very smooth and balanced sound when the set-up was complete. I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a surround Receiver upgrade.

To get the most out of this system you need to download the Yamaha app for the device and then you can maximize your use of this product. I don't have mine connected to a TV. I wanted a standalone music system for Radio, Pandora, iTunes, CD and phono. This gives all of this to me and I can run it through the app. Sound is excellent. I wish I could hook up my tape player, but I think that I am going to have to give that up and plus there is just so many music choices that I don't really need it.

Purchased during Black Friday/Cyber Monday specials This receiver has everything you truly need. A good Dsp 4k passthrough Streaming Via bluetooth. 4 HDMI Inputs / 1 Output with HDCP2.2 compatibility, Supports 4K 60p 4:4:4 / HDR for true 4K quality all Hdmi inputs support hrd passthrough most only have one port that supports HDCP2.2 The ability to have either front high surround or surround rear is a nice option. Great sound via Autocalibration (Change your front speakers from large to small) even if they are big ones. I looked at many more of the network models for much more money. All of the Amps have rather clunky menu's, I would rather stream through a Playstation3/4 and a phone/tablet than have to pay $200 more for a device that does it's own streaming with a clunky menu. Save a ton of cash to spend on better things. Unless you have to have Atmos, this is what you need.

I purchased this reciever after my Pioneer stopped providing video. Set up was easy and sounds great through my speakers. The only thing I don't like is the electrical sound it makes when I turn it on. Sounds like a relay closing. That is why I rated it a 4

Bought this about a month ago and i have been using it everyday ever since, it is attached to my TV, PS4, BluRay player, i do not have a 4k TV just standard 1080P, however this receiver is capable of 4K pass thru so for future when i upgrade my TV i will be okay to continue to use this receiver. Receiver has excellent sound quality and very easy to setup just follow the on screen setup once you have it connected to the TV, this receiver does have Bluetooth connectivity so it is very convenient to stream music thru any bluetooth enabled device, you can also use a USB flash drive if you have music stored on to the flash drive just simply plug it in the USB port. i am very happy with the SONY STR DH 770 receiver.

It's got all the relevant specifications for a modern home theater, ready for 4k and everything. The noise floor is fine, and it's pretty easy to setup. The only thing that doesn't work 100% is CEC, but when you start mixing brands that's bound to happen.

A very good inexpensive basic home theater receiver. I prefer the Sony remote control design and they have impressed me again. Ease of use for anyone is very important to me. Bluetooth music from phone is a nice new capability. This is my 4th Sony receiver.

Plug and play! It was basically right out of the box and instant great sound.

My old receiver only had analog inputs, but new 4k TV only had digital audio output. Setup was a snap, clarity and power to the surrounds sound speakers is great (wife won't let me really crank them, too loud!), and fills the family room with theater like audio.

Has good features. But need to navigate quite a bit to make input changes.

I had no problem setting up the receiver. Some programs are a little muffled but that might be the channels signed. I haven't tried the fm yet but I hope it's fine. I also like that I can listen to spotty on my phone thru the system via blue tooth.

Got this on sale and seems a really great value. Works great in combination with my Sony TV and blu-ray player. I needed a newer model that could handle multiple HDMI inputs and run them all through my speakers, and this does the job.
