Great sound and very functional. Syncs with Visio TV and info states it does to with all modern sets. I haven't found how to pass through yet as I rarely want to use TV speakers only because there is a second TV in great room that is sometimes in use and surround speakers are set up around the room perimeter. Speakers wire lugs are difficult to use for someone with big fingers. The sound is intoxicating and addictive no mater the unit in use, however I must disclose that I take no mind altering substances. It is vastly superior to my 15 year old Sony 5.1 that is still working as well as the I bought. I am using 5.1 speakers from old unit plus I added two more directly between lefts and rights, all are ceiling mounted except the single center is on fireplace mantle directly beneath wall mounted TV and woofer is in cabinet beneath bookshelves that surround fireplace.

I upgraded a receiver that I have had for 8 or 9 years. I wanted HDMI throughput so when this went on sale I jumped on it. I only gave it 4 stars because it doesn't quite have all the features that I would like to have but the sound quality is great.

I bought the 4k receiver to go with my Samsung 4k tv and Samsung 4k DVD player. It is very easy to use,and basically does everything before you ask it to do. I recommend it for someone who wants the premium sound and picture out of there 4k products.

I was needing to replace an old pioneer receiver that was working fine but it was silver and didn't "match" the rest of the equipment. I didn't realize how much I was missing in sound quality and functionality. Easy set up, excellent product.

My previous receiver stopped working, and this happened to be on sale when I was at Best Buy. The quality is terrific - and for the price, I am more than pleased. I would expect the same performance from a $500-$700 receiver - so this was well worth it!

Been using it for about 2 months. Connecting was easy enough. The manual that came with wasn't enough to find everything the unit does. I had to fine tune my back speakers and wasn't sure how to get there, My son helped me with doing it. The other thing is the unit gets hot and I have it in a cabinet and leave the doors open to get the heat out. One more thing is that I have cable & use that input but the unit will switch to the tv setting with no sound, so I have to switch back to the cable setting. It may be my cable remote doing the switching. In the long run I am hopping it will last a long time because I do like it. I did buy an extended warranty. Because my prior unit (Pioneer) went out after a little over a year. Pioneer wouldn't give me enough of a break if I returned it & got a new one.
