I really like the standby feature making it shut down when it senses the TV & other equipment being off. I've never been a Sony audio fan but its a really nice piece.

FITS THE BILL

This new version is feature rich, though I can no longer hook up my turntable or dual deck cassette player (no...I'm not 100, but close). Since most of my music is now in my Itunes library and on my phone anyway the blue tooth feature allows me access to my music. The online help guides walk you through the myriad of settings and customization that you can do for all your attached devices. I am somewhat proficient at the installation process and googled any issues that cropped up and then used the help guides to resolve them. The 7.2 feature provided for two zones allowing me to set up my living room speakers (two front, one center and two surrounds) and my bedroom speakers (two front).

So Far So Good

As with any new piece of technology you need to do your research about the specific settings before you can fully appreciate what it can do for you. I've had this unit for about 3 weeks now and am still tweaking the settings in order to get the best sound possible. From what I've experienced so far, this receiver really delivers a solid sound and the pass through from all my devices to my TV is so easy to use. Got this on sale and for the price it can't be beat. Currently has this set up with Harmon Kardon 5.1 speaker system, PS4, blu ray player and an Amazon Fire TV with my 55 inch Samsung TV. Feels like I am sitting in my own movie theater.
