I used an HDMI ARC cable between the TV and the Sony - presto! It all just works. ARC, I'm convinced, is the way to go. It adjusts automatically, according to the input source. Wonderful, and plenty of options/features in case I get bored.

I purchased a Pioneer receiver ($800) from Best Buy and really enjoyed the quality and performance; however, it lasted exactly one month after the two-year warranty ran out and went dead. Rather than spend several hundred dollars to fix it, Best Buy charge plus repair, I decided to pick up the Sony on sale. It is not as good as the Pioneer in terms of delivering sound, bass is really poor, but it does the job for movies so

Great receiver, easy to set up and operate. Sound quality is great and allows us to play anything streaming through our portable devices.

Sounds great, easy interface, plenty of options, very affordable. And just what I needed to replace my old one. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Does everything that we need it to do. We have ours hooked up to 6 built in speakers and a tv. Sound is clear and it was fairly simple to set up.

Very poor directions for how to make sound adjustments. Very disappointing.

Receiver is set up with my Sony TV and blue ray player and drives Definitive speakers and sub. Sounds good and was easy to set up and use.

I had to upgrade our previous Sony to a newer model due to a new TV upgrade. Wow! What a difference in the surround sound. Very easy to setup too.

I have good quality speakers and this unit has plenty of power to drive 6 surround, a center and large bass. And all volume levels are clear.

We came to purchase a different unit but upon comparing all the options, we settled on this thinking it was already one step ahead in technology and would be ready for the next generation televisions and picture/sound qualities. I have been disappointed that we cannot fine tune the bass and treble on the unit like our previous ones. I consider that a mild drawback, but our old unit finally shorted out and needed replacement. This is a good, solid unit that looks and feels like it will have a long, hearty life, so we are confident we chose well.

Loud clicking between changes and not very many settings options.

I love this receiver, I'm so thankful best buy has saved me money with these sales. It truly is a great receiver and such a great price. $200 is a steal you guys. I love this thing for watching sports on my tv and hearing music.

Easy to set up out of the box with the microphone. Works very well with a Sony TV. More than enough power to drive a medium size 5.1 setup.

This amp is a great buy for the price. The sound quality is outstanding and it is very intuitive, with the rest of my devices. I recommend this is you are looking for a high quality amp for a bedroom or small living room.

Like all new stereos this has an electronic on/ off switch that has a delay. It also auto turns off if a movie is paused too long. I got all new 4K hdmi cables to hook to a Sony TV and Panasonic DVD, the TV required two cables. The TV return would not work for a couple of weeks, but it works now. Thought the two Sony products would have been easier to sink together. Sound is good, and it gets loud. Best Buy also had a good price. Not sure if the next step up would be any different? Just any new stuff trying to out think you.

Very easy to hook up and understand controls. Easy to pass through HDMI devices. Love using my home theater. Got at as great price.

I tried this one for a week and the sound wasn't great.Good receiver for the price. Main complaint was it has an HD tuner which work better with a good antenna but it had a proprietary antenna that would not pick up any stations where I live in a major metropolitan area

Bought this to replace a Yamaha receiver. Its very good i would recommend it. Bluetooth is great. Last receiver did not have it.

Easy set up and configuration. Love the easy to use HDMI hookups. Just one wire up to the TV. Outstanding receiver for the price.
