Bought this receiver largely based on the store representative's advice. It replaced an Onkyo receiver which was toasted by a lightning strike. It is used with a 5.1 Bose speaker system with powered sub-woofer and produces great surround sound. Only drawback is that there is no network capability, wireless or wired. I guess I will have to search for updates manually and install through the USB port. Otherwise I really like it.

Bought this for its 4K UHD pass thru capability. Didn’t work at first until I realized it was a config/setting that needed to be adjusted. Working now and it’s great!

This receiver was on a very nice sale after the holidays, so I took a chance. For $50 more than the base model, I added true HDMI2.0 4K processing/pass-thru, Bluetooth and an extra pair of surround speaker outputs - I thought it was worth it for the future flexibility.The system automatically recognizes what speakers are connected, and you control volume through your TV remote, thanks to HDMI-CEC.

The system was easy to setup. Using all HDMI inputs and Bravia Sync works as promised. I turn on my PS4, it will change the inputs on the receiver, turn on my TV and turn the TV input to get me going without having to do anything extra. Same goes for the watching Netflix from the Android TV and even my Nintendo Switch. Only issue I have it the rather loud clicking sound when the Sony receiver changes inputs.

The sound is pretty good for the price. Had a problem with the audio syncing with the picture but was able to figure it out. There is only one audio delay setting unlike more expensive receivers. The manual isn't a lot of help. The auto calibration works okay and is a place to start but you can then tweak the settings to fit your room.

Takes a little time to get used to and the connection in the back did not take the wires easily. Once done it is. Very nice. No need to spend more in my mind.
