The receiver works excellent. Great sound. Easy to use. I am only giving a 3 star because there are NO bass terrible or mid level adjustments...they are done by a mic the receiver comes with......it me seems as if the center channel needs to be louder and I can NOT adjust it? To many things now days thinks for you. I would like to be able to adjust the sound to my liking. Too bad. We can think 4 ourselves Sony!!! I want 2 adjust the sound but can not. Thanks Sony. Again a company that thinks for us.......

My first Sony receiver. This particular equipment is easy to setup, and was surprised that it's not that heavy compared to other receivers I've had in the past. Performance is good, and it's 4K ready. Had a good deal on this one. I'm happy with this purchase.

This was a great buy overall. I didn't want or need Wifi but wanted Bluetooth and 7.2. The only issue I'm having is it sometimes cuts out when switching from an HD channel to non HD. Otherwise I'm impressed w the sound and overall ease of use.

This is a fantastic Sony AV Amplifier. The sound quality is excellent; it has lots of power; and it has lots of capacity...enough capacity for my 7.1 speaker system... and still have good quality sound. I have never turned it up loud becasue I live in an apartment; but the sound at low volumes is excellent. It was easy to set up. And the customer support was top notch. I highly recommend the STR-DH770 Sony AV Amp. And I recommend Best Buy for their customer service.

Sony 4K Ultra Sweet

This unit brought everything together for me. I have an older XBR 60" purchased about 4 years ago. The picture has always been outstanding and my audio consists of 5 Bose speakers and an older Sony 7.1 receiver. The light in the display had recently stopped working and I've been toying with the idea of purchasing a new 4K unit. I couldn't believe the difference the 4K Ultra made in the sound and picture. To top it off, my brother came by 3 weeks later with an early Christmas present. To my delight he had gotten my nephew and I each a Sony Ultra Blu-ray/DVD player. OMGoodness, movies and music like never before!
I've had my eye on the Sony 65" XBR 4K for some time; now I believe I can put that on the back burner for at least another year. Thanks to my brother and My Best Buy for both these components . Check it out!!!

This is a great Sony product. Plenty of sound. My only complaint is the setting menus are hard to find. My son stumbled across then on his Ann's had to walk me through changing the 4K setting which i never would have found.

This was a good buy. It’s 4K ready, was able to pair my phone via Bluetooth easily, and was easy to setup. I’m surprised that this unit wasn’t that heavy compared with my previous receivers. But I’m happy with this unit.

Easy to hook up and a solid receiver for a main family room. The pass through functions were primary to me and the sound is quite good running through some Mirage speakers. Easily able to switch between satellite, Apple TV and my BluRay player for me and the rest of the family. Also enjoy the blue tooth function to play music from my phone and tablet. Recommended for a family room that needs easy set up and function for a family. If needs are for a full on media room would recommend a higher end model.

This is a solid performing receiver that provides for multiple room speakers. The multiple HDMI inputs offer the user ease of theatre connections by only requiring one HDMI Output (ARC) cable connected to the TV.

I bought this to replace a different brand that failed in HDMI switching. I expect thr Sony to do better. The sound is fine, as expected, and everything works functionally. I have had a couple of interruptions in HDMI 2.2 video streaming, but there are several other parts that could be causing the problem. It is distressing to have a stream stop after 1 hour, and nothing gets it going again. The message says something is not 2.2 qualified. One other thing: I wish I could change the names of the input selected; however, you can only do that if you have a Sony TV as well as receiver... Mine TV is a Samsung, so I can't get the on-screen menu for that. There is an on-screen menu for the microphone setup, and that works fine.

Set up was very easy. Since my 4K TV and blu ray player were also Sony all units interacted with each other perfectly. I would also note that the speaker set up was easy to complete as well. The sound is awesome!

I helped my friends get a receiver to replace their aging one. The Sony had all the features they needed and was a great price.
The onscreen setup and microphone make for an easy setup.
Highly recommended.

This is a very simple unit to hook up. Sound is excellent. I had to replace my ONKYO $750 receiver with issues that started almost immediately. This one sounds just as good for a fraction of the price

Great unit, easy to set up and sounds great. Bought for our cabin, love the USB as it allows me to listen to music I have on flash drives so I don’t have to pack CD’s or stream via Bluetooth.

Purchased this because of the reviews and I’m a loyal Sony fan but just gotta day it can’t handle the 4K resolution. Very disappointed but it sounds good with the speaker setup I have. Using optical hook up from my Sony TV to reciever sounds good but not using the HDMI outputs.

Does what I need it to. It was replacing a older higher end onkyo that broke. It doesn’t have as many settings but sounds as good if not better than my older one and easy to setup.
