I did have to return and replace the first unit as it had an issue with HDMI. Some research seems that some units had this problem. The replacement has been working fine with no issues. Best Buy exchanged the unit no problem.

For a Digital receiver it does the job well. I am giving it four stars instead of five because the salesman told me that it would work with all my inputs. When one input did not work I called the store and they referred me to a national geek line. I told them that my one analog input would not get any video output and could they please help me. They told me to bring my whole theater into the store. That being impossible I realized that I was on my own. After doing much research I found out I had an analog input which needed to be changed to a digital input. I ordered a cable That changed my three analog RCA plugs into a digital HDMI plug and the problem was solved with no help from Best Buy. It looks like it could have been a simple answer to my question if someone would have taken the time.

This receiver not only does the intended purpose but also has a Bluetooth feature to wirelessly stream music through your speakers. Also great, is that there is an app to download to your smartphone and switch between the different presets.

I bought a new 4K TV and entertainment center so I figured I'd upgrade receivers as well (since the one I previously had, didn't support 4K) and there is a crazy difference in sound quality comparing this with my old receiver! Note that I am still using the same speakers, but the voice is much more clear, I can turn the volume up MUCH higher and there is no distortion in sound, the bass is so much deeper (This receiver has 2 sub-woofer outputs) and it has a special mic attachment that you can use to self calibrate the speakers to get the most immersive surround sound experience. At first I was hesitant on spending so much on this because it cost 3 times more than what I spent on my old receiver, but you really do get what you pay for. Would definitely recommend!

Purchased this Sony receiver to replace an old Phillips receiver. I downloaded the user manual which I would recommend to us novices out there who need the extra step by step instructions. Excellent receiver for the price.

I chose this one due to it having 4k pass through and Bluetooth which were the most standout features to me. Most receivers have Dolby Digital, and DTS, so that wasn't such a big deal. So I will start with these distinguishing features.

I've just purchased the amp, the sound is good but there are no manual adjustments. Keep in mind the 145 watt rating is at 6 ohm, which is significantly less for an 8 ohm speaker. I was unaware of this when I made the purchase

Bought it to replace old Marantz 7001. For its price it is an excellent product - nice sound. Setup could be somewhat easier (I have 2.0 setup with bi-amp configuration), but I've managed to get things done in less than 30 minutes.

I bought this unit on Black Friday and I love it. My speakers (which I also purchased that day) sound better and the sound is crisp. It allows me to watch TV with surround sound without overbearing my wife. Would definitely recommend

Needed a system that had this amount of watts. Works great and the sound quality is on par. A little hard to setup if you have a lot of speakers but once you get it setup this system is easily one of my faves I've ever owned.

If you have a HDR capable 4K TV, make sure your receiver can process an HDR signal. My first receiver with my Samsung HDR 4K was 4K but not HDR. It really does make a difference to spend the extra money for HDR capable equipment.

7 speaker capability and produces very good sound from my cd player, blueray, and tv. The other major brand was another $250 and had a few extra bells and whistles, but this one is all you will need for the average household!

Replaced Denon AVR-E300 with this receiver. Could not be more pleased with the upgrade in the sound quality. It was very easy to set up. I got it at a very good price by purchasing an open box product. I also had a $5 Rewards discount.
