big issue...they are not portable, but guess it doesnt say it is. The ONLY way they work is if plugged in with included power adapter. You cannot plug it in with no power and get any sound, and you cannot use batteries. The only way to get sound is to plug it in and turn it on. The sound is great, and I purchased them as a Christmas present for someone to use on their computer, but I was hoping that they would also allow him to take them to use anywhere outside or on the go, but since they have to be plugged in to work, they pretty much are a cheap computer speaker...but work fine as that.

I first got Harman Kardon Soundsticks II (nearly $200) but realized that I didn't need a subwoofer and it wasn't compatible with my samsung mp3. I return those for these Sony speakers which are just great. They work with both laptop and my mp3. Also, they are compact and cheap and have a great sound for the price.

these are very loud, nice sounding portable speakers! This is a must have. A downfall is that this product must be plugged into the wall to produce sound.(no batterie use,must have amp on)

I bought these cute little speakers for our "extra" kid computer. Easy to install and good sound. My three year old even knows how to turn the sound up and down on the speaker.

These speakers are not what I expected. There is no bass at all in these speakers. I am very dissapointer in Sony this time around. I will be returning these and exchanging for something else.
