Great Sound, Terrible Software

Then one day I started to notice an audio lag between the sound from the sound-bar and the video on the TV. Restarted the sound-bar a few times, which seemed to fix it. However, after that the sound-bar performance got worst. The sound-bar has a home screen for changing settings, that screen went away. Without getting to the home screen one cannot perform firmware updates or reset the sound-bar to factor settings. I did try resetting the sound-bar via a button combination, but that didn't work. This is the first Sony product that I had to return. The sound was great while it lasted. Unfortunately this model appears to be plagued by problems, other reviewers on this site reported similar problems.
