    This has an awesome sound! I'm a firm believer that Sony is as good as it gets when it comes to electronics. I have my couch positioned 15 feet from the soundbar/subwoofer and the clarity of the surround system is awesome! Definitely a must buy!

    Broke after 3 months, had repaired, broke again

    Purchased SONY Soundbar. Sounds good, but broke after 3 months. Pain in the A## to send for repair and wait 1 month. Got it back, it worked for 4 months, then same problem. SONY insisted on repair rather than replace bad soundbar. Had to send for repair again while warranty is running out. Terrible customer service.. I do not expect it to last much past warranty. DO NOT BUY SONY!!!

    Wanted To Love It

    Purchased as Open Box at Best Buy (store display with no remote) so I added Geek Squad for install. The wireless subwoofer would not pair so the Geeks thot I NEEDED the remote. Found one on eBay called the Geeks back, same result. The TV and Blue Ray player are newer Sony products as well so I thot adding the soundbar would be seemless but NO-O-O-. The Soundbar itself is a good product but the unit as a whole looses function without the subwoofer. Sadly, I'm GOING TO RETURN even though I love the sloping design of the soundbar.

    This soundbar has serious issues. Lookup online "please wait sony soundbar". You will see tons of frustrated folks who have purchased this soundbar and it can't be repaired. Sony does not have a fix. On the brighside, they are apparently willing to buyback this unit because they know its has an unrepairable internal problem. This appears to affect many models so I would steer clear all together until they can fix it.

    I purchased the Sony 2,1 on sale ($299.99) after trying out 2-different Bose systems. I was hoping it would have the deep sound that I have been looking for. I was terribly disappointed when I finally got through their "Easy Set-up" 4hrs later, The new Samsung 4K/LEDUHDTV and the Sony wouldn't play nice together Guess the Samsung TV is not that smart. When I finally got them to sync, the Sony system didn't sound any better than the TV speakers. Do yourself a favor and save up the money and upgrade to 5.1 system.

    Within a week of purchase, it decided not to sync with my tv remote or my cable remote. It worked for 5 days, then it didn't. Tried everything to fix it and nothing worked. Sony customer support couldn't fix it and all but told me it was defective, as did Geek Squad.

    too many issues

    I was in love with the system at Best Buy. Bought it for the theater room. The soundbar has about 20 hours on it. Its 7 months old and it quit. It reads "Please Wait". Read up on it and its a common issue with Sony products. The ARC cable has fried something in the board. Best Buy said they are real sorry but cant do anything about it. I would need to send back to Sony. They also say they is not a way to reset the system.

    Multiple issues with wireless speakers/subwoofer

    I bough this system a little over a year ago and have had a lot of issues that never seem to get fixed. The first issue I had was with the wireless speaker for the rear. There was a delay on one of they that was very annoying and continued to get worse. Sony replaces it with another and wanted me to mail it back prior to them sending me one. I was very unhappy since this made me feel like I was asking a favor by having them send me one prior to have a box to ship it back in. The speaker they send me of course with the same thing. I contacted them back and they took my info down and never called me. Now 8 months later I go to watch tv and the power does not come on to the subwoofer. I called them today and they told me I was out of luck because I missed the warranty date by 4 months. What a joke. I can’t believe the money I spent on this product just to have it die a little over a year after having it. Very disappointed companies don’t stand behind their product...

    Got it at Best Buy less than 2 years ago, and the sound stopped working yesterday. Tried multiple TV's and HDMI cables and factory reset but no luck. Geek Squad won't touch it so it's basically trash.

    I liked it at first

    We've had this sound bar and sub for over two years. The ARC is no longer working. If we need to watch something from the smart TV we have to use the TV speakers. I'm looking for a new soundbar. Admittedly, I have not tested the TV ARC out but this is the second Sony product that I have had problems with the ARC. I purchased them around the same time and the receiver I purchased has been sent for repairs twice. Best Buy was pushing me to buy Sony but I won't do it again.

    Greatly Disappointed

    I bought this product six months ago. Magnolia installed. Soundbar worked ok until about a week ago. Now the sound is badly out of sync with the picture. Following the manual's instructions haven't helped. Soundbar now also takes upwards of 5 minutes to start and shut down (used to be 1-2 seconds). Best Buy/Magnolia wants $150 to send someone to troubleshoot this defective device they sold me, half of the cost of a new unit and no guarantee of a fix.

    Seams this is a common issue and now I’m out the near 400 bucks. Turn in and takes 10-15 min only says please wait.
