In the price range, I got a solid product with a sound that let me upgrade the LCD speakers and a little more. It has a basic control with an old look and the minimal functions. The front display is so eighties (like the control) but it fits well under the TV. It's ok for a small room, with a clear bass to a normal level.

I think the product amplify MY listening experience but others listeners don't seem to notice the difference which is a bit of a downer considering it isn't cheap. I bought it because I had originally planned to place the TV on top of it but ironically the TV is now mounted on a stand so that feature isn't being used.
