great 2 channel stereo receiver

Radio reception in my area is awful, but the local am and fm stations come in well. The receiver was on sale for $99.99. I had a $10 rewards coupon, so I bought it for $90! Great bang for the buck!

Perhaps you can do this better with the remote, but you shouldn't have to use a remote to easily select the stations you need.

Not for "main" stereo system

It's a low power unit with an equally low price point. I you're hooking up a big system with "many" speakers, you may want to look elsewhere. I just use it in my computer room for background music. It doesn't have a phono input, so you'll have to use a pre-amp.

I was able to hook up all of my components and the 3.5 input is great for mp3/phone inputs. It's programmable with the remote. I can't say enough good things about this unit.

I had two sets of speakers and a CD player I wanted to continue to use. I did not want to move up to 5.1, which would have required additional equipment purchases. Just wanted a basic stereo which would drive the speakers I already had. This unit has filled the bill nearly perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, I'm very happy that my good quality speakers can perform once again. An added bonus was the ability to hook up audio from the TV, and also to be able to connect an ipod, although the sound levels from the ipod are rather low and require the volume to be significantly increased. All in all, this unit does just what I wanted it to, and I am very pleased. Also, the radio reception (both AM and FM) is far better than my old unit.
