Good and Simple AMP/Tuner

I have DVD, CD player and Cable going into my sound system. Only issue is it doesn't have a HDMI jack needed for direct connection to my smart TV, so it can't put Netflix or Amazon Prime movies or shows into my sound system.

A volume knob, A source selector switch, simple two channel stereo. And it sounds good. Just don't look at the remote. There is enough buttons on that thing to launch a space shuttle.

I was told at best by a pre-amp would fix the issue. I bought the suggested pre-amp. However, the combination of pre-amp and the sonny receiver caused distortion. I returned both but at this time the return policy was expired. I was given store credit instead. I do not know what to do with it. I hope I find a use for it sometime in future. Very unhappy about it.

easy to install and play, except for speaker wire

Also, the included antenna wires are inadequate in our neighborhood. Otherwise, no problem

No Frills 2 Channel Receiver

But for the basics of 2 channel music, or for a small non-surround video system, it works quite well. Built like a tank, sounds very good for the price, and the remote is very functional and convenient.

Top Notch Performance for an Inexpensive Receiver

This Sony unit fits the bill perfectly when hooked up to my aging Dynaco A-25 speakers. On top of the performance the $100 price was hard to beat.
