I bought this unit to run 4 outdoor speakers. It was not powerful enough. Returned and bought a unit that was a step up. My fault I should have done more research. Still a good unit, just not for what I was using it for.

I recently replaced my old stereo receiver (Sony) with a new model. I have a significant hearing loss so have been using a pair of Sony wireless headphones . . . unfortunately, the new model shuts off the speakers when the phones are plugged making it impossible for my wife and I to hear the audio at the same time. This, I believe is quite STUPID! I personally solved the problem by wiring the headphone transmitter into the second speaker terminals . . . shouldn't have to do this!!!!!

This receiver was just what I needed to power a pair of speakers in my shop. They are connected with a Google Chromecast Audio so I can play my music on them. The receiver is in a dirty environment so I needed one with a reasonable cost like this one.

Was looking for a very basic receiver to replace one that conked out. It is connected to a DVD/VHS player; two sets of remote speakers and our DirectTV satellite. This was just what I looking for - and am proud to say I hooked it up by myself (not an easy feat for this tech-not-so-savvy grandma.)

I needed a lower profile stereo amplifier and receiver to fit into a new TV cabinet I had purchased. Every other receiver was too tall to fit into the shelves of the cabinet. Plus I did not need all the bells and whistles that were in the other more expensive stereos.

Exactly what I was looking for -- a basic receiver I could use as a stereo, CD, tape, and record player. It also has four speaker outputs that can be controlled independently. Only drawback is many features on the remote I would prefer to have on the unit.

I purchased this model since all I wanted was a simple stereo receiver and not the top of the line receivers with all the video inputs and outputs. It also has a much better user manual than the more expensive Sony which has very minimal instructions.

A good basic AM / FM stereo receiver. I needed to replace an old worn out Pioneer purchased in the 1980's. Wanted to keep it simple. This is it I am presently using a pair of old Marantz speakers but am looking to replace those as well.

I bought it to replace a 20+ year old receiver that finally quit working. I already have a 5 channel system for TV/Blue Ray player. This one is used strictly for my CD jukebox. For that limited use, it works as well as expected for a low end receiver.

Sony has been. Very consistent product This provided everything we needed from a amp/receiver. Powers all the accessories easily with easy to follow instruction. We would recommend because of price and dependability. Good enough looking forward to years of service.

I was looking for a reliable replacement for an older unit I had so I purchased this Sony receiver and hooked up my original speakers to it. It is a secondary unit for another area in the house and I am very happy with the performance and the price tag.

Everything worked fine except that there was not enough bass output. I am comparing this to an older pioneer unit that I used previously with the same speakers.

Overall I am very satisfied with this products. I purchased it as a secondary receiver to power outside speakers in both my back yard/deck area and my garage. Inside I also have a Sony used in the surround sound, The remote control works both!

This is for my garage which has just 2 speakers. The radio is fine, my only issue is that the volume dial is not sensitive enough and it takes a full rotation to get any louder.... Which really isn't that big of a deal

Needed to replace an existing receiver. This one works great. Pay attention to the size if you have space restrictions. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be.

I am very happy with this purchase. It was for the garage where I could hook up my phone and broadcast Pandora into the backyard so my neighbors could hear me chime in with my generation music while I work my yard magic.

I am a technically challenged person, the directions for this receiver was very clear. I have a small patio and wanted to be able to listen at my favorite music while sitting out in the back relaxing. This was a good buy for me, thanks Best Buy !

Old tech is what this Sony Receiver is...Doesn't NOT have the new technology of new recievers . It is very ,very basic. (No HDMI inputs etc...) For the system I needed, this is Perfect. Simple , that is what I needed .
