i bought this reciever to use in my garage to power my outdoor pool speakers. it has a nice clean sound but could have a little more boost.

This AM/FM Receiver was just what we needed at just the right price. Now are customers are enjoying a nice music selection while they wait.

Great receiver. I have another sony receiver for the entertainment center downstairs. this one was for the garage with just a cd player and a set of speakers in the garage as well as a set of speakers outside for the back decks. looks good and was a great price. was on sale and open box-excellent condition. well worth the money.

I wanted something simple that worked well and wouldn't break down after so many hours. Sony always had a good reputation so after reading several reviews from different rating agencies Sony was always mentioned. Therefore I chose this model. Its inexpensive and has great sound. At my age simplicity is it. I really like the A/B switching.

I needed a new receiver for my basement. This was perfect for my needs. It was easy to hook up and works with my TV, DVR and CD players.

It is perfect for the salon. The one I had died after 14 years and I needed one quick. It was easy to hook up and program. Simple to use.

Used to be much bigger into stereo - 4 speakers, etc. Now just want reasonably good sound - this unit delivers.

I always preferred Sony for sound equipment and this one is meeting my needs nicely to be the AMp and power for my conference room and multimedia presentations at work. It is sleek and attractive looking and not as big as other receivers. I hooked up ceiling speakers to it with ease, and the remote is easy to navigate. Meets my needs nicely for the small price

It does everything that I wanted without any of the things that I didn't want. Big sound for my tv. syncs with my cable remote.

This receiver was brought to replace a cheap one I about 5 years ago that just died. A lot of new futures. Very easy to install.

I needed a receiver to boost the sound of a DVD player and it works well. For the price I think it's a very good buy.

I needed a amp to replace an ancient Sony Dolby stereo receiver/amp I had from the 90's. That thing was great - sound field settings, graphic EQ settings, many many other options, many inputs/outputs. When it stopped working I realized that you just couldn't find anything like this anymore - everything is geared towards home theater/TV set ups, not component stereo. This was the closest thing I could find, its a pretty good value. Im just living with the fact that short of buying some other components, you just cant find the features that used to be easily available in a receiver. The sound is fine. The selector knob is a little fiddly as you have to go through all the inputs to select which one you want to use. Minor quibble really. I do like the fact that you can rename the inputs. All in all, this is a perfectly serviceable amp for those just looking to power their separate components without spending a lot of money.

Connection instructions very easy. I have DVD/CD player, iPod, FM tuner all sound great! Could use a better FM antenna, though.

Replaced my amp I had for 35 years. Doesn't amplify my turntable very well. Have to have volume at max to listen to the records. Handles the other inputs from CD player without issues. Tuner works well, but hard to change stations as it stops at everyone, so if going from 88.1 to 102.9 it takes a long time. However, has many presets, so once you have your stations in memory, it is a breeze to use. Use it as our central audio amp that is able to direct music throughout the house.

This radio gets great reception and is super simple to use.... quality radio for a cheap price! Would definitely buy again!

Just the right amount of power to get the party started and I love the fact that I can hook up my iPhone to it

Bought this unit to replace an old receiver In the pool house. Didn't want anything fancy, but rather just easy to use with good power and sound. That is exactly what this unit is, good value for the cost. Sounds really good and has plenty of power to drive the Definative Tech speakers outside.

This is a super unit. Saves space. Builtin subwoofer means no extra hardware. Don't be disappointed by the sound out of the box. You will have to adjust the sound to get it just like you like it. But the provided remote guides you through that process. Great output, once configured it really has the effect of true 5.1 / 7.1 sound.
