Bought this for the pool and outdoor parties. Not a waterproof unit so I keep an umbrella on it. Performs well for large outdoor spaces. Loud but crisp. Best sounding unit in the store for this price point. Works with my iPhone 6 with no problems. Built in handles makes it fairly easy to move around.

This speaker is amazing. We use it each time we have a family cookout, and it always gets the job done. I love that it has Bluetooth, radio, and a charging port as options for playing music. The volume is decent and the bass is incredible. Great buy!

Great sound! the lights are amazing! and I love the Dj Effects. the Bluetooth is great and long range. you can also charge your Iphone 6 while you enjoying your music. Great product really worth buying.

Great sound outdoors, easy to use. Great bass. We use this outside at the pool and for cookouts. Had lots of friends comment about how good it sounds.

This product has exceed all of my expectations. the sound is incredible and is great for outdoor gathering. Sounds is very crisp and the bass in deep. the blue tooth feature is fantastic.

I bought it for my daughter and she really loved it especially the lights on it. The sound is really good and loud. She usually uses the blue tooth to connect her iPad to it.

I have had my fair share of speakers. IHome, beats pill, beats pill XL, and Sony. Although this is the biggest of all the speakers, the sound quality is top notch. It has fairly decent bass. I always listen to music and this speaker is one of the best. The color display isn't really adding much but it does give the environment a more upbeat feeling. If you are looking for a medium sized speaker, I would definitely recommend this sony speaker.

good base, the different color lighting and effects set it apart from other sound systems. its portable and love that its Bluetooth. wish it could get a little louder, but clear sounds

This speaker was fun and easy to use. I'm a fan of the docking station and I love the lights. Unfortunately we are looking for something loud enough to be heard throughout our house/backyard for big parties. This speaker would be great for a single/double room party.

Great sound and easy to pair Bluetooth with other devices. Love that the lights blink chronologically with the sound.

Have had it for a week now and it works out great for a sound box outside for a bonfire barbecue party. Granted it won't deafen your neighborhood but they will know your having fun. The lights that beat to music look pretty kool at night time. Nice party effect.

Positive qualities: It sounds great and can fill a room and has Bluetooth and connects to iPhones perfectly with its own dock. Drawbacks: Requires an outlet and doesn't have a battery. Has weird LED lights that turn on when the stereo is turned off I got this especially for my girlfriend who teaches a fitness class in various locations which may or may not have the stereo system. So for that, this radio was perfect, but I don't think I would've purchased this one for any other reason.

Frankly speaking, I truly don’t understand those who rated a bad review to this machine as well as those who required a battery use capability. Like it is always said: “you can’t and will never be able to please everyone, no matter what…” - Otherwise, how such a powerful machine (420 W) can be rated negatively? I just don’t get it. Then again, how someone can be thinking of running a 420 W power on battery when it needs 85 W running on electricity? Even if that’s possible, it won’t be a Portable one anymore as the weight is going to be a killer, people. For those who wish to have a headphone jack, sorry but it is called “Portable PARTY Speaker”. It is used to enjoy your “Partiers during the gathering”. And that’s the bottom line. Period! Finally, to those who broke their own sooner, please take good care of what you get with your hard earning Dollar. Buying is one thing but taking good care of is bought is another one… Great machine! Powerful machine! The best so far! -No Doubt about it.

This device is easy to use, a great price for a big rich booming sound and although a little heavy, is very portable. I carry it to my neighbors house on weekends when he has cookouts on his back deck, its always a hit. With the USB port, you can let your songlist play all night uninterupted. The bluetooth feature come in handy when some one says "hey, do you have such n such song?" Just look it up on your phone and connect it to the device and in seconds, and your playing it. One area that I feel could use some improvement is the antenna for am/fm. It connects with a 4 prong connector and is cumbersome. I wish had been designed with a built in antenna. I give this device a full 5 stars, its fun to play with.

First time boom-box purchase, but I needed plenty of sound to fill the backyard to meet my teenagers satisfaction. This Sony not only has the really cool to sync LED lights but it puts out enormous sound. Sound quality is great, have not noticed any distortion. The unit is sturdy, to the point that it is a bit heavy to carry more than 50ft, but it's well worth the exercise!!!

I recently purchased this speaker after a friend recommended it to me. It is an awesome speaker. The sound is great and loud. I used it at a gathering with about 75 people present and it sounded like an entire stereo system was being used. I will be getting a lot more use out of it in the future.
