XBR43X800E 2017 model Sony UHD HDR TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read all the reviews on best buy and amazon, found that this model was highly rated. I owned 2 Sony TV's before and it's time to upgrade to a smart tv with upscaling HDR, I never thought I would notice such a difference in the picture. Sony delivers an outstanding picture quality, always has, although smart tv gives you some homework to learn the best buy techs can answer most questions. Sony will answer any further questions, since I wanted to transmit blue tooth to my amazon alexa speakers for extra sound quality. All the flat screen TV's now have small speakers firing straight down, so plan on extra sound support, and this is a dual use for my (2) alexa echo plus speakers. I can control the smart plugs to turn on or off lights and fans in the room and power the TV sound, and the best part of online shopping is you can see the price it's offered for without leaving your living room, and best buy beat them all, and I got to take it home today, without waiting for shipping. I'm one Happy Camper !

Best TV Investment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV is absolutely amazing and you can’t go wrong with this TV. The colors are phenomenal and are extremely vibrant, but not over vibrant where they look fake. The shadows and highlights provide crisp detail due to the HDR. The picture quality blows away most of the other TV’s in this price range. Everything is super sharp and the upscaling makes even the lowest qualities look like 4K. The only complaint, is that the smart TV interface is a little glitchy and it is not very smooth at times, but it does not render the smart aspect of the TV to be useless. Everything still works fine, but it could be more smooth.

Great TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We needed something small and this TV can be no matter where you are. The picture is fantastic. We are used to using our head phone that require audio out. The new TV's do not have this function as it used to work. We have to manually plug them in to get them to work the way we like them to.

sony 43 4K smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like this TV, great picture and color. Did a lot of research on tv before buying, Sony had better reviews than Samsung. Had a Samsung tv and had to have it fixed after 2 years. Glad to see that Sony is coming back, always have liked Sony TV'S.

Decent budget 4K HDR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this unit for my bedroom, I do some gaming on it and movie watching It’s not top of the line in picture quality but it’s a decent unit for the price. The colors look good and it has acceptable HDR picture quality. If your looking for a budge friendly game/bedroom tv this is a good buy. If your expectations are high and your looking for amazing picture quality you’ll only get that from an OLED display which I have in the living room. For the price 649 this is a good budget 4K with HDR

What a Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is just fantastic. The picture quality is spectacular - just what I've come to expect from Sony. I bought this TV to replace an aging 1080P Sony XBR that did not have smart TV features. The picture quality on that TV was fantastic as well. The TV is in our living room and is not used very often, so the size is perfect for the placement. I know you can buy less expensive TVs. but you get the picture you pay for. I'll buy Sony every time.

Picture great, sound varies
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried to replace the tv in living room but found the configuration size of screen presented to low of profile for the space. Move it to the bedroom. Rather large for the room and will take some getting use too. Screen quality is superb, sound seems to vary from channel to channel, but definately surround quality. T v is running off a old roof top antenna and the quality is terrific.

Stunning Picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second Sony TV our family has purchased and we are very happy with both. The 43 inch UHD picture is terrific. I would have gotten a bigger TV but it would not fit in the TV cabinet; but the sharpness and vividness are so good that a bigger TV is not necessary. Sound quality is very good and the remote is easy to use. It does take a while to learn the menus and how to navigate them, but the TV is very easy to set up and works great right out of the box.

Love It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as a 2nd TV for den where my husband watches sports when I'm watching something else in the living room. Easy to set up and picture is wonderful! We have a larger, high end TV in the living room that was 4 times the price of this one, but it is several years old and not UHD/HDR. The difference in the picture quality is definitely noticeable with this set having the better picture of the two. Would buy it again.

An unexpected surprise!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had to buy a television in almost 9 years so when our current television literally stopped working we opted to go bigger and a little better. The SONY TV looks just as great in our family room as it did in the store and I love that it's a smart TV as I do not have to use the amazon stick now. The color and picture is fantastic. Definitely worth the money!

Houseful of Sony's 1st 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me say, I made the mistake of ordering this first on Amazon from a reseller. Bad Move. TV was defective so after having set it up I had to re-pack it and go thru the terrible hassle of returning. So I went to Best Buy which I should have done to start with and paid the same price AND bought 2 years Geek Squad . The TV is really great but as an Apple user I don't really like the Android system. The picture quality is very good and the sound OK, but I run it thru a home theatre. One downside is I cannot get the integrated cable box feature to work. The guide does display but when I click on the station nothing happens. That's why I'm not giving 5 stars. For the money, this is a really good TV.

Good picture but poor sound quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My last Sony TV I bought in 2009 had great sound and picture. The sound on this TV is disappointing but I have heard worse. I connected my Bose PC speakers to the headphone jack and the sound is great now. I also connected the optical output sound connection to my Sony receiver for action movies. I had problems getting a good picture and found the light sensor is defaulted to ON. The TV adjusts the brightness of the picture depending on the brightness in your room. I did not like this feature and turned the light sensor OFF. The menu for adjustments was a little hard at first to get use to, but now having it for a month, I figured it out. I use a antenna and DirecTV. Very good reception with the antenna. I use non-directional outside antenna and get all the local stations. I like the TV Guide for the local station listings.

So far, so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I am happy with this television. The colors with HDR really stand out, especially when playing on my PS4 or when watching the 1960s Adam West Batman TV show. The only drawback I can really think of right now is the cumbersome menu to change picture and audio settings, as well as having to adjust picture settings when starting up a PS4 game that utilizes 4K mode. But as long as it continues to work and doesn't have any meltdowns within a month of having it like the Samsung TV I had returned, then everything should be a-okay.

Another winner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having a different brand tv break recently I set out to find a replacement for it. I’ve always had success with Sony TVs so I knew I wanted to focus on finding the perfect model. After some research and long thought I went with this one and couldn’t be more happy. I wasn’t necessarily looking for 4K but it’s nice to have it. Even without having 4K equipment I notice that the picture quality and clarity is much better on all channels compared to the tv being replaced as well as the other Sony in my home. The voice remote is a good perk but not something I feel I would use often (just not my thing). Easy set up and adequate hdmi ports to fit my needs. Sound is great without needing or wanting a sound bar to enhance it in the room that I have it in. So far all of the features seem to work well. Overall it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for a great 4K tv. Only negative (and it’s really not that big of a deal) may be that the strand is pretty light so I would worry a little if I had small children in the home around it if it weren’t being mounted on the wall or was on a stand low enough for someone to pull it over.

LOVE this TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were originally going to buy the other Sony 43" KD43X720E but when we got to the store and saw the 2 Sony 43" TV's side by side, the colors and clarity on the XBR43X800E really stood out. We got it home and it was very easy to setup and reconnect the devices. LOVE the new TV!
