This tv should have been perfect for my garage wall because of the size and price but we have to modify the hanger bec it is resting where the slot of connection for hdmi cable at the back of the tv. I wanted to save space so I cannot let it stand on a table. Pls see the pictures to see what I am talking about. The clarity is perfect for me and the new features such as applications for Netflix, YouTube, etc. I connected it to surround sound and bar speaker from Sony (CT 390) too so I can watch movies and tv with a movie theatre sound. The sound is perfect when I exercise as I listen to music via YouTube.

We were looking for a TV to hang above our mantel. The picture is great and the sound is also a lot better than I would have expected without using a sound bar.

This is really a great TV. Easy to setup and get started within 10 minutes! The smart apps are a nice feature and including Netflix and Amazon Video is a total winner for me! You can even turn the TV into a giant digital picture frame. I wish there were more apps, but it's not a deal breaker for me. The fact that I can plug in my USB flash drive and play my own movies, music or photos is also a good bonus. The picture is beautiful and clear. The sound is the only reason I would give it 4 stars instead of 5. The sound level is a bit low. But it's not terrible. So I gave it 5 stars. Watching football this past weekend showed the frame rate at its best! Gorgeous, no pixelation, no stutter. Just perfection. I would recommend this TV, and brand to family and friends. I am very happy with it!

One morning screen was black. Still under warranty. Called Sony tech. Had me move tv, neglected to tell me how extremely fragile the screen was. I must have put pressure on corner while lifting it. Screen cracked, warranty negated now I have vertical and horizontal lines in screen. If screens are that fragile there should be some sort of notification prior to purchase.

The quality of this unit is good and the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is for due to the side view quality, other than that I love the TV and its looks.

Nice television for the price. I bought a Samsung 6000 series when it first hit the market. Really beautiful set with a beautiful screen. This tv doesn't compare to that. Picture is great though.

This tv was easy to set up with cable and very easy to mount over the fireplace. Highly recommend for the price. Also price went up by the time we came back, about 5 days, I had taken a photo of it with the price and Best Buy gave me the lower price in my photo!

I bought this TV for my bedroom and it's the perfect size. Even though it's not 4K the picture quality is everything you'd expect from Sony, The "smart" interface is easy to use and works just as well as a Samsung. I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for an additional TV

Great TV picture quality, Good resolution and clear optics. Remote is simple to use plus accompanied sound bar offers good quality. Some problems with volume When using harmony remote. I think I have the problem resolved

This Sony 48" was very reasonable purchase and the picture quality is awesome.

Satisfied with TV... wasn't satisfied with CS when TV was purchased but the Mgr on duty came over to assist.

I bought this TV so it can be mounted, but when the mounting brackets are installed, it covers the HDMI1(ARC) and the digital optical out. Based on the reviews i have read, the sound quality is supposed to be awful. I was going to connect the TV to a sounds bar, but if i can't connect it to HDMI with ARC, what's the point? At this point, the only option i have is to install additional spacers (the top one already has a spacer provided with the TV as it is not on the same plane as the bottom mounting holes) but that doesn't seem like it would be secure, or i can cut out the mounting bracket but that would compromise the structural integrity of the bracket. I suppose i could choose to return it and exchange it for a different TV.

This was the right size for me. The price was excellent. The color is great and sound is very good. On some channels I have to turn the volume up a little further than I normally keep it at, but no big thing. It was easy to set-up. I have a corner TV stand and with the base in the middle instead of at the ends, it fit perfectly. I am very happy with this TV.

Picture is great. So light (almost too light) and easy to mount. I wish the apps included HBO Now. Can't seem to hook up my old DVD player correctly, the TV is not finding the connection.

I was looking for a tv for a beach house. It had to fit into a small space so it had to be less than 50”. I was also not looking for 4K but I needed a smart tv with basic apps (Netflix, amazon). I have a 75” 4K Sony in my apt which I like a lot so I decided to stick w Sony. While it doesn’t have the bells & whistles of my larger tv it has the same excellent Sony picture and colors. I am very satisfied. My only issue w it is that a few times I had to reboot the tv because it wouldn’t go on but it was a minor issue so far

I was a little apprehensive about this TV, because it didn't perform as well in some of the product reviews as some of the others I'd looked at. I purchased an LG 4K TV online, and am not thrilled with the picture quality. I wanted a second TV as well, so I went to the store this time instead of buying online, so I could compare pictures in person. If you're not familiar with a brand, I strongly recommend doing that. This one is not a 4K TV, but as a phenomenal picture - very sharp and clear with great color profile. Sony and Samsung both have very similar picture quality, and in my opinion are the two best brands on the market. Pros: 1. Great remote - I think Sony's are the best designed and most intuitive. Responsive to commands. 2. Great menu/set up screens - among the best 3. Outstanding, clear, vibrant, sharp picture 4. Good sound quality 5. Ethernet connection works well to access my network - have not tried the wireless, yet. Cons: 1. This thing FLEXES heavily when you pick it up or carry it. Another reviewer commented on this. The strangest thing I have seen in a TV. Very wobbly frame and feels fragile. 2. Poor selection of apps. NO AMAZON. I have not found a way to add/install apps. Does include Netflix, and even has a large, dedicated Netflix button on there remote - but I can't imagine a late-model TV not having Amazon Video. I fortunately have an extra Fire TV stick I can use. Overall, great value. Disappointed in the App selection - my Samsung is much better in that regard. However, the picture is the most important for me, and Sony has never let me down - so I am glad I purchased this.

Easy setup - great picture - very satisfied - competitive price for Sony brand

I wanted to buy a HD TV as 4K contains are not available much these days, at least not in Red Box :) Good picture, easy to set up, light weight. For sound I use bose audio. The Remote has a dedicated button for Netflix which is really cool if you watch Netflix most of the time. This TV comes with other app like Amazon Video, HULU etc. I don't know how to install new app. If you really want a smart TV, this is not for you. Check Android TV. I have Microsoft XBOX One S, I don't need super smart TV. The TV has only 2 HDMI and one of them is ARC (Audio Return Channel). One of the port is connected with my XBOX, other one is for Nintendo WiiU. I connect ed TV through XBOX. I went to buy 40 inch but end up with 48 as it was on sale. I got a really good price from best buy for this one.
