I connected a hard drive with movies and music directly to the tv. The software itself is a little buggy and crashes once in a while. Digital tv antenna is much weaker than in my ten year old tv. Volume up/down is slow.

I was trying to decide between this tv an LG, and the android features on this tv make it a must buy. I only wish cable and other entertainment services broadcast more 4K in the future. You do notice a difference between 1080 and 4K.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great TV, great picture quality, Smart Options are awesome, however the sound is low and additional equipment definitely needed. Also this is a 2015 model, which I didn't realize before. Due to this I ended up returning it and purchasing a 50" Samsung 6300 4K 2016 model. Much better sound and no bar or additional sound equipment necessary, not sure if the picture quality is much better, will be able to tell later. To compare sound, Samsung gets same quality sound at 15 that Soni gets at 35-40

Sony customer service is very poor. I wouldn't buy anything Sony again. Buy some other brand.

Inferior picture quality may be more noticeable on a high-definition television (HDTV) with a large screen. However, the problem is most likely not with the TV; it is most often due to the display or up-conversion of a standard-definition (480i) signal. The picture quality on a HDTV is best when viewing a high-definition signal. Although you will not be able to get an HDTV-quality picture from a 480i signal, you may still be able to make the picture better by adjusting the Sharpness or Picture Mode options on the TV. If the picture on the TV screen is too dark, check the following link: https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/38985. All TV sets are capable of displaying high-definition broadcasts, provided you have a digital tuner. However, to fully appreciate the enhanced picture quality, the TV should have a native resolution of at least 720p or 1080i. - Oscar.

Always a problem

Have to unplug and restart everything about every 5 days. Have since read reviews describing the problems I have. Wish I had done more research before buying and falling in love with the great picture.
