I have a home theater with a very high end audio system. The electronics for my audio system are mainly Audio Research tube Reference components. My turntable is the new VPI Classic direct drive model. My speakers, all 5, are Wilson Audio. The fronts are the Alexandria's. This little Sony micro system in a small room produces excellent stereo music. I'm highly impressed.

... for sound in a small space. We purchased this to go in our living area for background music. It's small and with the Bluetooth capabilities we can play our satellite radio through it. You can't beat it for the price.

This is a mini book shelf stereo that puts out great sound. The tuner has very good reception and calibrated tuning. The CD player works great. Speakers Handel the 50W output great punch on bass and crisp highs.

Bought this system for my girlfriend. She is not very tech savvy and didn't want any of the Bluetooth only units that are popular now. This is a basic CD and AM/FM radio unit that is easy to use and has the expected Sony quality sound, yet still has the Bluetooth capability.

It is a sleek system with clean sound and full bass. The bass is balanced and full not so deep it becomes dark and overpowering. The value is amazing. It is user friendly and very classy. Good quality.

I purchased this for my kitchen/workroom. It has great sound and was easy to put together. The only problem I have is that the operating instructions are printed in a small font and awkwardly arranged. When I contacted Sony support, they guided me to the online version, which I had already found on my own. While I could make the online print larger, I could not print the instructions in a larger font. Unfortunately my computer and the stereo are in different rooms, They then sent me to a website that has a version of the instructions, for $5.95! Since I could not be sure this was printed in readable form, I am trying to make do with the printed one that came with the system and the online version, running from room to room.

We bought this stereo to use on our patio and it is wonderful. It has great sound, is very compact, and links to our phones.

Elegant looking and with a very functional remote, this compact system will fill even a sizable room with music. Easy and straightforward to set up out of the box. A great choice if you need a small shelf system.

I use this Sony receiver in my home office to listen mainly to XM and the local NPR FM station. AM reception is good, too. Sound is excellent at all volume levels through the speakers that are shipped with the system. However, I already had a set of Bose bookshelf speakers, which I'm using instead. My only complaint is with the speaker wire length, which is short enough to really limit placement of the receiver with respect to the speakers. I fixed this by clipping the original wires fairly close to the proprietary connectors and soldering new wires of more reasonable length. Now I have the receiver tucked away and the speakers positioned on my work desk. I'm very happy with my purchase!

For a smaller stereo, it sounds great. Great sounding bass and treble. I use it in my garage when I’m tinkering around. Happy with the purchase. Plenty of volume for the space (and beyond).

I like that it is minimum size and has quality sound!

Found this in a last minute pinch when my Mom's existing compact stereo died. The standard classic look and simple operation was exactly what she wanted. Sounds great for its size easy to use. Connected to and XM radio tuner as part of entertainment center.
