I upgraded from a 40" Sony Bravia HD and am very happy with my new 55" 4K TV. I did have to make some adjustments on the TV as well as the set top box to get the optimum picture quality for 1080 viewing. But watching 4K content is absolutely fantastic ! The slim design worked perfectly to place on a console.

Decided to finally upgrade to not only a flatscreen, but a smart TV as well. After some bad experiences with other brands in the past, Sony has become my tv company of choice and this tv proves that it should remain that way. The picture quality and ease of use of the controls makes this a very positive review.

The setup with this TV was a snap, instantly connected to the home network and was immediately able to update the TV firmware to the latest and greatest, Smart app are great, just wish there was a internet browser to where you could go to internet site. TV has a wonderful picture and turns on almost instantaneous.

This TV was so easy to set up. I never set up a TV before so how was I going to set up a 4K smart TV? Well, thanks to Sony's step by step it walked me right through each step with ease, connect to my wifi and within 1-2 hours from opening the box to sitting down in the recliner I was watching football.

I bought my SONY television during a recent Memorial Day sale. Best Buy delivered it on time. I have experience with TV and PC installations, so I did my own unpacking and TV hookup. SONY packages their televisions to survive shipment, so no worries about in-transit damage occurring. See unpacking videos on YouTube to see what I mean. As for the 4K resolution itself: I purchased an ultra HD (UHD) HDMI cable to alleviate the "Christmas tree lighting" effect around letters on some websites, after installing an NVidia 10 series video card in my entertainment PC. Now, I get outstanding 4k resolution with vibrant colors and no distortion while playing bluray disks. You can also hook a PS4 up to this TV, and can turn the PS4 on through the TV's remote control, rather than the PS4 controller; this is very convenient when watching DVDs and bluray disks. Bottom Line: For under $1000, you get more than you pay for -- outstanding value. It's not a 3D TV ... but then again, I didn't need that feature.

Absolutely the best TV we have ever owned. A wonderful picture and price is GREAT.In my opinion there is not a better deal in the market and we looked at a lot. We bought one, then went Back a few months later and bought a second tv. I highly recommend you look at this tv before buying ANY brand.

First off this TV does everything you need it to. If you not have an external media device such as Apple TV or and Xbox One S, the internal apps will work just fine. Once you setup the Android OS when first powered on you can download other apps to watch digital content. I have three windows behind me and this TV does a good job not making the glare noticeable. The image is wonderful. You may want to turn off the Light Sensor if you do not want your TV to constantly adjust the brightness when it detects a change in ambient light in your environment. If you can find a test pattern on your DVD/Bluray to adjust the picture to your settings you can. Out of the box it is decently set for you to just turn on and let your eyes get lost in the picture. Just remember you are boy purchasing a tv just for the sound quality because this doesn't have a good one. Pick up a 2.1 sound bar or Home Theatre In A box or build your own to get the best sound, make sure any of those items has HDCP 2.2, unless you like the TV speaker sound.

The picture quality is great. I don't see a huge difference between this and the Samsung KS8000. Setup and use is very easy/intuitive (geek squad setup and explanation helped though). Only gripe is that the speakers are terrible - but I knew that going in and it's a known issue with most Sony TV's. Great TV overall and if I had to do it over again, I would buy it again.

Purchased this TV to replace a Samsung DLP. Out of the box the resolution is wonderful and picture is viewable from all angles. Pro easy set up great picture Cons Directv hard to set up the guide to only show channels I get. Some jitter only on one channel but I think that is Directv not the Sony.

I don't know a lot about televisions, but I do know the quality of picture and sound that I wanted. This 4K Ultra HD offers a tremendous picture. The colors are true, and the images sharp and clear. The Smart TV feature allows us to really enjoy our Netflix, Amazon and other movie networks.

I love this TV. The blacks may not be the best, but has a great picture for the price. I love the Android TV interface. Netlfix and Amazon Prime Video both look great with their 4k programming that is available. The bezel is practically non-existent and the overall design is very attractive.

What an excellent picture, and the light bleeds in the blacks are gone. I am a die hard Sony TV buyer. I have this one in the living room, a 2 year old 55" in the game room, this same model in 43" in the garage and a 32" in the bedroom. I can't say anything about the remotes because I use Harmony remotes only, so I will pass on that. I also do not use much of the smart TV functions due to being a die hard Apple TV user. I also cant comment on the speakers because I use surround sound or sound bars on all my TV's, I am pretty sure they are lousy though as every flat screen TV I have owned or heard elsewhere has been. There isn't really a way to make such a small space for a speaker and have it sound good, so any negative stars for that is ridiculous. But the TV is fantastic and has a beautiful picture.

I was looking to upgrade from my older flat screen tv to a larger screen size. As I researched what was out there, I decided that 4k was the way to go, and finally settled on the Sony 4k tv. So far, it's been great! I know there's still not a lot of 4k content out there, but i'm ready for it!

Love this t.v. for ease of use, excellent picture quality. It was priced right and we got exactly what we wanted. Love the Google play and Android functionality as that is what we are accustomed to. This t.v. is amazing with all it's capabilities. Still amazed by the picture quality!

This tv is absolutely incredible, the picture alone is great but i love the added features and the apps. I use this if im streaming netflix or youtube. but i mainly use it for playing Ps4 and blu rays. i was very happy going with the 55inch. im so glad i got this tv

We bought this for our family tv. Our other was 9 years old and glitching. The tv is almost as thin as a picture frame and is very light. The picture is great and it is like a computer. I have only had to reset the tv once. The sound(why I gave it 4 stars) is lacking but overall a great tv. We have a ps4 hooked up to the tv and looks incredible.
