I purchased an A8H a few weeks ago … really happy with the picture quality, even during an afternoon of football watching in a bright room. Replaced a Sony 810C 4k from 2015 and the TVs have no comparison. Also the stability (so far) of the newer Android platform has been great (after suffering with the old 2015 version). One issue that I noticed was that the audio seemed to “stutter” randomly when streaming using the built-in Android apps, skipping just a bit. … Picture is fine, just audio using eARC to a Sony DN1070 receiver on a high-speed HDMI cable. … Running Roku Ultra thru the TV to the receiver set to eARC works fine. After searching the web to find a solution I stumbled across a recommendation to turn the RS232 control to OFF as it defaults to HDMI under the Remote & Accessories settings. That seems to have fixed the issue for Vudu, Netflix and Amazon … still a random skip on Pandora but very seldom. I noticed my old 2015 Sony has this set to OFF by default, but not the A8H. So hope that helps someone else who’s frustrated with the issue as this is a great TV. Even my wife can tell the difference :)

This a TV for the Den. We already had a Sony 4K in use but I wanted to try the OLED experience. First off, the BLACKS really are inky black. No side light bleed to turn the edge blacks gray. Colors are vivid and sharp. The new processor makes all the old viewing glitches a thing of the past. All the streaming channels come in clear and sharp and especially 4K HDR content from You Tube and others. Connectivity has been trouble free. I would also like to comment on the purchase and pickup procedure. The whole experience from start to finish was trouble free. At arrival people were masked up and polite and well aware of all policies and procedures. I don't think I have ever been treated better at any retail store in my shopping history. I think it took less than five minutes from parking to pulling away loaded and smiling like a fool. Great job Best Buy and a great TV too!

Amazing Picture with beautiful color and crispness. A very good choice for side angle viewing. The setup was very easy. The features are a great value. This TV has made our viewing of streaming services a joy.

What a Gem! When I was shopping for this OLED beauty, I said I wasn't going to buy it unless I saw a difference in side-side-side comparison with a regular 4K LED set. I certainly could at the Magnolia display. I have been waiting TWO + years for this Sony, and finally purchased it during the last sale. Worth the cost and worth the wait. Blacks are completely black, no banding, and everything is crystal clear. Watching sports on this compared to my old HD is a complete new world-- Puts you right in the stadium! Absolutely no pixilation and smooth as silk. The 30W sound out of the box is terrific, but may purchase a sound bar down the road. Glad I didn't settle for less. OLED: Accept no substitutes! A great product, Sony!

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This is my first oled smart tv and the picture and sound quality are incredible. I originally ordered the Samsung q90t and the quality wasn’t there. The picture was extremely jittery and not smooth with movements. So anyone debating between the Sony A8H and the Samsung Q90T should definitely get the Sony A8H. You won’t regret it. Set up was fast and easy and navigating through the apps is a breeze. You can’t go wrong with this tv. I don’t see how any picture could possibly get better than this. Sony is top notch!

My purchase is a SONY 55" BRAVIA OLED A8H television. I bought it during Black Friday sale in November 2020. I chose this one over LG because the black in color scenes come out more visible to be seen using gray tones instead of black tones. I admire how thin the glass screen is, very slick looking. The size is grand for my 132 square feet bed room floor space. I like where the TV speakers are positioned - all around the screen instead of just the bottom of the TV.

This is the first television we have ever bought. WeI have always used hand me down televisions. So we researched the options and decided for an oled television for the picture quality and ability to view from the sides since our room is wide but not deep. The delivery went very smoothly and we methodically set it up. From the moment we turned it on, we were in awe. The picture is amazing! We love all the connections on the back including that we can still hook up our old VHS player using the correct cable (not included). This television has made watching movies an experience and allowed us to access content that was not available on our 24 year old tube television. We have a good feeling that this television will last.

I’ve only had the TV set up for a few hours, but I can already tell this TV is amazing. I upgraded from a 52” LCD Sharp, which was a very good tv when it was new. It now feels like I’ve been watching in black and white and now have color. Set up was easy, although would have been easier with a 2nd person to help. The factory stands were a little too wide for my cabinet (39 1/2 x 12), so I got a VESA compatible stand with a smaller footprint with the added benefit of having a 60 degree swivel, so can adjust tv for best viewing angle for where everyone is sitting. I don’t have a PS5 yet, but the new picture quality of my PS4 will hold me over until they’re finally in stock again.

Last summer I remolded my home and needed a television to add to my exercise room. Being on the treadmill listening to music got me only so far. Then I used my iPhone to try to watch a show and later bought an iPad. I finally took the plunge and bought this TV at the recommendation of a Best Buy representative. I already have two LG OLED TVs in my home but never had a Sony OLED. What I like about this is I can watch shows from my iPhone onto my TV using Xfinity Stream app. I like to watch certain shows on an east coast feed and this TV allows that while the LG OLED model does not. The sound is very good too and of course the OLED display is awesome.

Had a Vizio 50 inch that just abruptly died on me after roughly 4 years of general use. Needed something a bit richer with colors and deeper blacks for movie nights. Solid purchase in my opinion. This would be my 2nd Bravia and so far this one seems to run faster and smoother than the last one. I like the speaker in the screen as well - helps the sound come through clearer versus it bouncing off the back wall when watching a show. Looking forward to football season on this thing... Hope the review helps

Compared this TV with the samsung frame. Sony picture far beats the samsung picture. Contrast is amazing, true blacks, and colors are great. PLUS the TV is so slim. Love it.

An excellent tv with many of the features you'd expect from something at this price. Had been looking at this tv for a while and was able to buy it when it went on sale. My prior Sony was a 46" model with "Gorilla Glass" which goes back a few years. Never had an issue with it but wanted a tv that had bluetooth and a larger screen. This one fit the bill. Love the OLED - some shows, especially sports are so clear, you swear you are there. Enough inputs for all of your component needs. Downloading is a snap, the sound is great and so is the remote. I love my older Sony, but this one is a keeper. Definitely a great buy.

This TV is simply amazing. The contrast and colors on anything HDR10 or Dolby Vision is stunning. Going from a 4K HDR LED Set to this is truly a game changer. While some people may not notice the difference, I did immediately. The biggest difference between OLED and everything else is the true blacks that you get while watching movies/shows with a lot of night scenes. I was always so annoyed with the washed out look of any dark scenes with my LED set up. This TV changes all of that and shows you how it is supposed to look, how the director intended it to look. I can’t say enough about this TV and would recommend it to anyone.

My last several TVs have been Samsung’s and still have a QLED which I do love but on my newest tv I decided to go with this Sony because of how impressed I was with the picture. Sony used to be so amazing then I felt they lost their luster. I really believe they got it back with this TV. The picture is so warm and the blacks are deep giving such a pleasant picture. We have it mounted in our bedroom and it’s incredible for 4K content. We watch through an AppleTV and use a definite technology sound at so I can’t speak to the tv sound but I would hope anyone buying a tv of this quality isn’t using its own speakers for the audio.

I want to say that this is my first oled, was afraid of burn-in. I said forget it and I am happy that I did. This is by far the best tv I have owned and I have had no issues. I got the 55inch A8h when best buy had amazing sale 1299. I could not pass that up and even my wife had to admit the picture is amazing. I wish I would have got the 65inch but the 55inch was bought for a specific place. I am sold on oled and if you are nervous get extra warranty like I did. The interface Android is quick no complaints. If you want this tv get it and you will not regret it. Everything on this tv looks good from 4k to regular cable. Great job Sony.

The Sony A8H is an excellent TV for most uses. Its picture quality is amazing thanks to an infinite contrast ratio and near-instantaneous response time. It upscales lower resolution content well, which is great for watching cable TV or sports. HDR content looks excellent thanks to its wide color gamut and decent peak brightness. Unfortunately, although its input lag is great, it doesn't support advanced gaming features like VRR. Also, like all OLED TVs, there's a risk of permanent burn-in.

I was undecided on buying this or the x950h. The x950h was $1,300 dollars and this one was $,1800. After doing research this tv was the best overall... OLED the colors are amazing, clear, it has all the bells and whistles. Tv android, sound comes from the screen and has built in subwoofer so it also sounds amazing . My friend works for a production company and said they use this model to edit and review movies. You pay more and you can tell the difference the tv feels durable and strong doesn't feel cheap.

Great picture as expected from an OLED. Easy setup. I didn’t think I’d like the Google interface but it’s clean and using play store for smart TV apps is admittedly better than on my Samsung smart TVs. I haven’t used much for gaming but it’s got incredible picture with 4K player and movies. For the sales price I purchased it at I couldn’t ask for more from a TV As a bonus the TV came with screws inserted into wall mount ports making install a breeze.

This TV has been working beautifully for the past 2 years. The picture is amazing. It doesn't get too hot. Very happy with the purchase

This Tv has excellent picture and I will never go back to LCD TV's. I originally had a TCL tv that this replaced due to the TCL becoming discolored and have dark scenes look green. No such issues with this tv! All the Blacks look amazing and actually makes me feel immersed. Before this the most expensive tv i bought was about $500 so paying double that made me have buyers remorse until i set it up and realized that you are paying for top quality picture way better than anything i have ever had before. I definitely recommend this tv.
